  • Very Good Series

One More Kill was a action packed thriller that has the FBI tracking down a serial killer. This was the ninth book in the series, and although I hadn't read any of the previous books I had no problem reading this as a stand alone. This book was able to keep me turning the pages until the very end. I would definitely recommend it to others. I received a ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, I am under no obligation to leave a favorable review all opinions expressed here are my own.

  • Always great

Once again I was hooked with one of Carolyn's stories. Her books are full of detail and emotion. The problem I have is that they are hard to put down so I pick them up every chance I get and then I am inpatient for the next in the series. I guess the next book is a Madison Knight story and as I also enjoy that series I will continue the above habit and read what she is up to.

  • Fast paced & holds your interest!

This is a Brandon Fisher Special Agent for the FBI book. A serial killer is back at work after a long dry spell. Jack Harper Brandon’s boss worked on one of the first cases of this demented killer. He always felt it was his failure when he didn't catch him years, ago. He vows this time he won't fail. The behavioral analysis team works well together but Jack seems too emotional on this one. While working all the leads they can, Jack becomes the target prey now. This killer likes to torment those he targets and goes after what they hold dearest. Jack can't let that happen. His team now must keep him alive. I haven't read the prequels to this series so I don't know the characters well, I felt Brandon didn't have much involvement in this book which could be normal, and Jack was not the best leader. Jack's career is on the downslide and he didn't do himself any favors in how he acted and reacted to searching for this killer. He made them put him in charge, but they had conditions, and he isn't fulfilling them. He could destroy his career, but he wasn't letting this killer get away again and he wasn't losing any more people to him. Lots of action, the story is told by multiple characters including the killer. Keeps your interest and is fast-moving. The team seems complicated in their interrelationships. It's worth your read if this is your genre. I like serial killer stories. Thank you NetGalley, Hibbert & Stiles. Publishers and of course Carolyn Arnold an excellent storyteller, for this eARC, this is my honest opinion I think you'd enjoy this book.

  • Awesome

Thriller with a touch of creepy! Special Agent Jack Harper is determined to catch a serial killer that is. back in action, after being dormant for 15 years. Back then, Jack was never able to put the pieces together, but the killer has made this personal for Jack. Can Jack keep his emotions in check, keep his job, and find the killer before more innocent people die? This was a little gruesome, filled with action, emotions, and kept me turning the page from start to finish. Highly recommend. I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
