    Loved it

5 star Review One Timer (Nashville Assassins #17) by Toni Aleo I have only read a few books by Toni Aleo, but what I have read I have really enjoyed. This is in fact the first book in this particular series that I have read and I admit I was concerned that I would be a little lost reading this story. That was not the case, although I do believe I would have enjoyed the story even more if I had the benefit of having read the previous books in the series. This is Harper Allen and Jakob Titov’s story who I believe have been secondary characters in previous books. Now it’s their turn; this story is told in present day and retrospectively as Harper and Jakob tell their 20 year old daughter about their path to love. It’s so interesting that it was Harper who didn’t want a relationship and Jakob who was the one who wanted so much more. He knew it was time to settle down with “the one” and he knew that Harper was the one woman for him, all he had to do is convince her. Easy, right? Not so much. I found this fascinating reading and I was drawn in and captivated by the story, so much so that I read One Timer in one go; I simply couldn’t put it down. This is a novella but for such a short story Ms. Aleo certainly packed it full of of memorable and emotional moments that will have her fans cheering from the sidelines.

    Loved One Timer

One Timer took me back and I fell in love all over again with one of my favourite hockey series the Nashville Assassins because this novella ticked all my boxes, it may be a quick read but it is certainly packed full of emotion and I’m sure it will leave all of this authors fans wanting more. One Timer is Harper Allen and Jakob Titov’s story, a couple who we have met in previous books but now it’s their turn to tell us the full story behind the live they share as they try and steer their 20 year old daughter on the right path to love and romance....... A book written in present day but also taking us back to when Jakob and Harper met all those years ago as they try and talk their daughter out of running of with the love of her life a man named Taco!!!! This book has it all, it’s emotional, it’s witty and I loved reading how this couple fell in love all those years ago as well as seeing where life has taken them too now. I was captivated and as I said at the start of my review this book really had me falling all over again for the wonderful characters and their life’s of the Nashville Assassins. Great addition to the series but it can also be read as a stand-alone although I’m sure once you start you will want to read everyone’s story.

I love them even more than before

I have loved these 2 from the get go. How could you not? But to hear their story... to feel their passion oozing from the page? I think I fell harder. Also... I really need Ally’s story now... just sayin’!

Never, EVER give up on your dreams!!!

Love, Love, LOVED Jakob and Harper’s story. Who am I kidding? I love ALL of the Assassins, yeah, wrong, I love every book I have read by Toni Aleo. When this book hit my tablet, I dropped EVERYTHING and started reading... Good thing I was off work that day…LOL! However, there was something in this story that I LOVED even more. The backstory, or rather the reason for the story, the reason that Jakob and Harper tell their daughter their story. Yeaaah, sorry Ladies, I am not going to give anything away. You will have to read the book. I will say this to the author Toni Aleo, I NEEEEED two more stories from you. The first, Allison’s story, the second, Journey’s story…SIGH!! This book also reminded me why I loved Jakob so much, and my first thoughts in Taking Shots (the first book in the Assassins Series and where we first met Harper and Jakob), and in this book, that Harper did not deserve such a fantastic man. However, as the story went on, my feelings on Harper changed. But I still wish I had had a Jakob of my own. Thank you, Ms. Aleo, for writing Jakob and Harper’s story. I will say that I did not like, I wanted more. But, then again, I want more of EVERY book of yours that I have read. The stories you write just come so alive that I just want more. So, in my opinion, that is a good thing. I was gifted with a copy of this book because I love to read romance, and to give my opinion of the story. Since, you have read this far, you know that I loved the story. In my opinion, I think you will love this story as much as I have. I will say this though, if you have not already, I really think you need to start at the beginning of the series, with Taking Shots, before reading this wonderful book. The whole series is phenomenal!! Thank you for reading my review. This book is now available at your favorite retailer. Happy reading. <3

    Short but mighty good

This novella was super cute! We get a little of the present day second generation, which completely excites me for the next book. But this also takes you back to the beginning. Harper and Jakob are super cute together and I totally loved Jakob's confidence in himself. Seeing him wear Harper down and win her over was super sweet and romantic, not to mention the amount of steam between the two of them. This novella was short but packed a punch.
