This story will make you angry at many of the characters at one point or another, it will also make you love them just as much. I love that I could get angry at a character I love so much, it's great to feel that kind of emotion from a book. There are several characters who I would consider vital to this story, but Scarlet and Sean are for the most part the main couple. They are explosive together in both good and bad ways, and it makes their relationship more real. There is so much going on with all the characters in this story and I can tell it's only getting started, I can't wait.

  • Review: Forever and Always 1: Only For You

Only for You by E.L. Todd is the first book in her Forever and Always series. In this book we meet two best friends, Scarlet and Sean. What they have always assumed is a completely platonic relationship actually contains unrealized undercurrents of more that neither have ever acted on or been aware of over the years. When Sean is dumped by the woman he was almost about to propose to, Scarlet is there to help him through. When their one night of passion goes horribly awry the next day she hightails it out of New York and heads to her brother in Seattle for refuge. Taking advantage of the fresh start and the escape from heartbreak and an abusive boss, Scarlet finally gets on her feet with the loving and generous help of her brother and his best friend. Well-paced with great character development this was an interesting beginning into the lives of Scarlet and Sean. This is the beginning of their story which then continues in Forever and Always, book two in the series. While at times I wanted to throttle both of these characters for their naïveté, some of their rash decisions were closer to what people would actually do in real life and I appreciated that they were not perfect.

  • It was okay

This is not a stand alone. It says it can be read as such but the end is sort of cliff hanger-ish. The main characters seem to have difficulty really knowing what they want. They seem very flighty. I hope their better at figuring that out in the next book and Scarlett starts actually sharing her feelings and what’s going on on her life..

  • Cheated

When I read the excerpt for this book, I thought it said stand a lone. But clearly it is not. That is the reason for the low rating. I am tired of feeling ripped off by authors. Be honest about how many books there are. This would have gotten a good rating as I liked the story. I thought it was a good storyline. However I cannot get over the deception
