    Fun, witty, and sexy!!

Denise has done it again, leaving me wanting more. I can never get enough of her books, always left wanting the story to go on and on. Only You is a heart-warming, sexy and witty romantic contemporary story. I enjoyed Kevin when he was the over-protective older brother in The Substitute and I absolutely loved getting to know Kevin on a deeper level in his own story. I love the relationship between him and his sister, Megan. The interactions between them remind me of my own with my brothers. Holly is sweet and innocent, yet also isn't afraid to go after what she wants. She has a life plan and is content with working towards it until sexy Kevin shows up and throws her off kilter. I love the banter and chemistry between Kevin and Holly. I felt the sparks jumping off the page. Only You has many laugh out loud moments. If you've read The Wedding Pact Series, then I'm sure you'll love seeing some of the characters again, especially Grams, as much as I did. And leave it to Knickers, (Kevin's Mom), to butt in Kevin's life and create some funny scenes that will have you laughing and chuckling. I believe everyone will enjoy reading this, even if romance books aren't your usual thing. Give it a try...what do you have to lose???

    Choose me

Holly has a new neighbor. He is sexy and sweet. Surprisingly, she wants to get to know him better. Until she finds out what could happen. Kevin comes home to so many surprises. Bad things come in threes, right? Between the house, the mom, and the job, what is a guy to do? Well for right now, getting to know his new neighbor sounds about right. Such a sassy and sweet story. The characters both have their hangups and their secrets. For good reasons. The give and take is compelling and draws the reader in. Plenty of surprises in store. ***This ARC provided by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review only.

A spin off that actually lives up to the hype!

Only You is a rom-com and the first book in the Bachelor Brotherhood series, a spin off of the Wedding Pact series (though you don't really need to have read that to enjoy this!). Once again Denise manages to use words and craft a story in a way that reaches into your heart and makes you connect with characters and their stories. She will make you laugh, have you rooting for the characters, and poking your significant other asking why they aren't making you swoon like Kevin manages to. Just like every other book she has written, it was a pleasure to read! I cannot wait for book two!

    rom-com fun

**Minor spoilers, maybe, kinda, so just a warning** FYI, I didn’t read the Wedding Pact series and while there are references to it – especially with Kevin’s sister – it didn’t impact this story much. I think it can easily stand on its own. I’m going to start by saying that the ending seems a little rushed to me, not the relationship so much as just the timing. I think the whole story covers about 3 weeks, and while it reads like a movie rom-com (funny, wacky and sweet), what works for me on the screen needs a little more time on the page for some reason here :) I want to emphasize it is definitely a very minor complaint, because if you take the timing out of it, I am highly satisfied with how things go for these two. As I say that, I have to admit that I do kinda wish I’d read at least Megan’s story so I have a better feel for Kevin because I think that he was probably a handful in the previous book. The stories about the crazies that he attracts, and thus the very funny misunderstanding with Holly, are a hoot. And he's got such a wonderful relationship with his sister, supportive but still snarky, that I would love to see that from her side. Once their misunderstandings get straightened out, the interactions between Kevin & Holly are sweet, spicy and humorous. The main drama then comes from his mother and the fact that Holly works for her. It’s not the best of situations for either but they eventually make it work. (There's those rom-com moments again :) ) I’m looking forward to Kevin’s friends getting their own romances because I definitely believe those two need to be shaken up! Sweet and Fun!

Only You, book one of Denise Grover Swank’s newest series, The Bachelor Brotherhood, is so darn sweet it might give you a toothache! Having read The Wedding Pact series, the books this spin-off series is based on, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I want to come right out and say that I DID NOT like Kevin Vandermeer’s character in the first trilogy. I thought he was overtly brute and all around unlikable. With that said, I fell head over heels for Kevin in Only You. Here you get to see that Kevin is just a normal guy. He’s retired from the Marines and in a transition period. Seeing the story from his point of you helps you (*me) realize he’s super protective of his little sister. I had more in common with him than expected, though the similarities are microscopic. He’s 33/34 years old just like me (both were stated in the story), and feeling that tug that I’m feeling now. Do I stay single? Play the field? Find someone and settle down with a family? It’s a weird time. You feel equally invincible and lost. At least I do. What comes into play is Megan, Kevin’s mischievous younger sister and the notorious bride-to-be from The Substitute. She finds him a money pit house next to a cute blonde. All of this you can read in the free chapters already posted online. From there the story is ADORABLE. Kevin and Holly (said neighbor) end up doing this kind of tip-toe tango around Kevin’s mother. Many familiar characters from The Wedding Pact series make an appearance in one way or another. One character you can’t get rid of is Knickers (Nicole Vandermeer - the Emily Gilmore of the family). She’s absolutely insufferable and seems to exist solely to torment those around her. I think she means well on some level, but sucks at conveying that meaning in a positive light. You can’t miss Gram when she’s on the page. She provides A LOT of comedic relief as usual! I would highly recommend this series for fans of romantic comedy and/or Denise’s writing. She’s got a peculiar way of writing a fun and happy story while still tugging on your heartstrings. I know I’m a greedy reader, but it ends without resolve with other character’s in both Kevin and Holly’s lives. I’m sure that will all be addressed in some form or another in the books to come. The only downfall I could find in this story is the very abrupt ending. I bestow a solid 4 stars on this sweet romcom! ****
