Two Thumbs Up for this series

Open Fire is the last of the "In the line of Fire" series. Each book in this series is pretty much a stand alone but you will find connections amongst the characters. This one was a bit of a heartbreaking story for me but yes it has a terrific HEA too. I teared up a little seeing Randa so desperate to protect the only family and home she had left and JT just as desperate to get her to a safe place. The last few chapters where they finally move her grandparents out of the house was quite emotional. Also, all the history between JT, Randa and their mutual friends is based on such shaky and potentially explosive ground I felt like I was walking on eggshells for those parts. All in all, it is a well-rounded ending for a wonderful series, and at some point, I'm definitely going to binge read it again. I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration

    another great story

Randa Sadler and John Thomas Walker have a past and after years apart they are thrown together again but with a fire danger on the horizon can these 2 work things out or will their hardheadedness destroy them. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This book has characters from Somewhere Texas and is associated with that series.
