    Thanks for your feedback!

Pain suffered from both ends of a tradgedy

In this sad story of loss and redemption, Curtis and Shannon are both suffering from the same tragic event, but from opposite ends of the spectrum. Curtis is beating himself up for the death of an elderly woman so many years before, and no amount of atonement resolves his pain. Shannon lost the one person who cared for her at a time when her life had gone adrift, resulting in a need for revenge. I am once again reminded how we judge our youthful selves through the eyes of an adult, forgetting that when we reacted to earlier events, we had neither the life experience nor the wisdom to know better. By keeping secrets, both Curtis and Shannon set themselves up for further pain, and it forces Curtis to humble himself to expose his true nature to Shannon. I found this to be a well written book, describing the inner turmoil that comes from foolish acts, however the angst experienced by both main characters became a little obsessive. I have read a previous book in this series, and although some of the characters appear in this book as well, it is nevertheless a standalone with a very happy conclusion. I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

    I highly recommend this book

I thoroughly enjoyed Shannon and Curt's story. I haven't read any others in this series yet (I will be after this), but didn't get lost with other characters and found it was completely readable from a standalone perspective. The story itself was enjoyable, as were the characters who had great chemistry - and the steamy scenes were perfect! I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
