    Truly wonderful!

A beautifully written and haunting book, I had a lump in my throat practically throughout the whole thing. The author does a fantastic job of bringing the Australian Outback alive (especially for someone who's never been there), creating such evocative images throughout. But it's the way she captures the main character's grief that is truly remarkable. Never maudlin, but always raw and always real. It's a story not only of travelling in the Outback, but also about one couple's quest to repair their damaged relationship after an unthinkable tragedy. An exceptional read and one you won't soon forget.

    Beautiful emotional rollercoaster

I found this novel a healing balm, uplifting and thought provoking. I enjoyed the unravelling of emotions and the characters points of view. Eloquently written, whilst allowing the reader to visualise the unwritten. Great read!

    Outback Promise

I can't decide if I liked or hated this book. I think maybe because of the way it was written - it read like an autobiography and yet it wasn't. Some parts were enjoyable but others parts were just BS. It was one of those books that even though you hate it you just have to read it to the end.

    Travel the Bush

The feelings you build while travelling the roads and tracks in the Outback, are sometimes hard to put into the right words. The feeling of loss when a child dies is so deep, the hole swallows your heart. Both these things are twined in this story and the emotions are immensely shaken.
