I found this book to be extremely entertaining having an excellent story line and development of characters. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to learn more about the world around them.

I really enjoyed it ,would of liked more description on the country ,it felt empty without not being able to picture where I was . The story was very interesting on that part of the history ,never new about that at all so found it very informative.

    Good read

Interesting read about something I knew nothing about. I did not know about how things were and are for Koreans living in Japan. You get to know the characters over 4 generations very well.

This was an excellent story of the history of the relationship between family's of Korea and Japan. It was written in such a way to involve the reader in the emotional lives of the people of both countries. A very informative and enjoyable read.

Best book I ever read. It kept my interest all the way through. No more had to be said. I would like to read Free Food for Millionaires by Min Jin Lee now.
