A One Of a Kind Witch

Pamela is exciting... Shannon once again does an incredible job in writing Pamela.. book 3 in the Rylee Adamson Epilogues... it picks up where Liam left off... where Pamela is walking away after Liam tells Pamela to come home when she is done. Pamela is a young witch and in search of a teacher/mentor to train her how to use her skills. She is, also, a very strong and powerful witch and with the right training she will be very awesome. Pamela has met up with Raven (an Elemental like Larkspur but he retains all of the elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Spirit). He has promised to train Pamela if she does 3 tasks... and what are these 3 tasks? The first task is done because at the end of Liam (book 2 of the Rylee Adamson Epilogues)... Pamela takes the special sward that Lark made for Rylee to use in the battle against Orion in The Blood of The Lost. There is much adventure that Pamela has... most of it fun and exciting and the other is dangerous. Pamela meets new friends and meets up with old friends and there are surprises to be found out and hidden secrets that are revealed about Raven and Pamela... all in all I really loved reading about Pamela.. you will too... it will make you smile in the end...

    Pammy is B*d*ss

I was a little skeptical about the Epilogues at first. Sometimes it's just best to leave things alone. However, I've been more and more of a fan of these new installments. Pamela is a very complex character. I like that she is conflicted, strong, confident, scared, and independent all at the same time. I also love how all of Mayer's books are tying together and unifying the elemental stories with the Adamson stories. In this epilogue, Pamela has to learn to trust herself above everyone else and do what she knows is right even if it is hard. Something big is coming and everyone has a role to play. I'm excited to see how they all come together. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

    Things aren't what they seem!

Shannon Mayer is always a great writer and gives you a story that will keep your attention the whole time. If you are new to her, then I wouldn't start with this book but go way back to the very first Rylee Adamson book and then everything will make more sense. Pamela has always been a hard character for me to like but she is complex and young, so it's very realistic. The writing is fantastic like always, the plot is full of surprises and the characters are real and developed. Well done!

These "Epilogues" didn't feel like the end...

Reading all three of these supposed "Epilogues" left me scratching my head as to their purpose. To be clear- each was every but as good as the previous books. But instead of feeling like a wrap up of the series they absolutely felt like a set up. And that would be fantastic.
