    A Painfully beautiful story

Paperweight is a story about a girl named Stevie who battles through life suffering with anorexia, depression and the guilt of her bothers death. I liked how this book was true to the issue of mental illness. It did not glorify it is any way, but captured the sadness and state of misery that can be felt by one suffering from such issues. This book was written in the style of a journal which allowed us to follow the life of Stevie throughout her treatment at the care facility. It really allowed the reader to connect with the main character and highlight the fact that life isn't so bad and there are always people out there suffering with harsher obstacles and bigger problems to face in life. Overall Paperweight is a painfully beautiful story that is blunt and honest, although is able to hold just the right amount of grief and hope
