  • Excellent Dog Centered Cozy Mystery

This is a very satisfying cozy mystery. The story takes place in Chattanooga, TN, and centers around dogs. The main characters are completely likable. While it is a nice and clean cozy, there is no excess attention paid to food, fashion, or wine pairings. There are plenty of poodles of all sizes and well as hounds, shepherds, and pit mixes. I have read other books in the series, each book can stand alone without issue. I love this author's books! She has quite a way with words and can draw the reader into her world very quickly. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

  • Great Cozy Mystery Read

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I was not disappointed. Cozy mystery genre is new to me. I was always use to reading thrillers, mystery and suspense storylines with sinister characters. I like how with cozy mysteries you get a little of the sinister, detective, suspense, plot twist and laughs in the storyline and it’s characters. Lilly is attending a fundraiser for her good friend Dixie’s Eastern Tennessee Poodles Rescue Association, while there Lilly finds the dead body of Archibald Lowry a philanthropist that has backed this fundraiser and his dog poodle Indulf/Rex. Now that Rex’s owner has died Lilly takes him to stay with her and her poodle dog Aggie. Someone tries to several times to kidnap Rex and Lilly, her boyfriend Red who is a cop and her friends set out to find out what is the connection of the suspects and wanting Rex. I don’t want to give to much away and spoilers. This was a fast pack read with some plots and twists, which left me surprised as to who was the killer and why. I look forward to reading more books by this author. I highly recommend this book to read especially if you like the cozy mystery genre. Cassandra H. I received a Arc from Netgalley for review and this review is of my own honest opinion and thoughts. #PawAndOrder #Kessington #VMBurns
