  • A magical conclusion to an incredible series

This is the 5th book in the Witch of Edgehill series and it centers around the Here and Meow festival and the final battle between Amber and her friends and the Penhallow witches. These series is so much more than the basic cozy mystery, not just because of the magical elements, but because of the depth of the back story that is carried through all 5 books. You get so invested in the characters and I truly hope Melissa Erim Jackson revisits them in the future. I love all the interaction with the side characters, especially Chief and Edgar and you get some interaction and closer for all the major side characters in the series. The book starts with Amber preparing for the here and Meow festival with her friend Kim, when her magical toys start to malfunction and then a customer of her's ends up sick. Amber is force to shut down her shop at the busiest time of year out of fear her magic is malfunctioning. On top of that a pesky reporter is adding to her "bad press" and asking more and more uncomfortable questions. Things get really bad when a Penhallow escapes custody and the MBI shows up to speak with Amber about her magic and her parents hidden grimoires. Can Amber figure out who to trust? Will the Here and Meow Festival be a disaster? Can Amber face off with the Penhallows and avenge her parents deaths? So many questions get answered and I could not put this read down!!

  • Good book!

5he Penhollows are after Amber's mothers grimoire. It's well hidden but how long will it stay that way? This is the 2nd book in this series I have read and both were very well written and I really enjoyed both books! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Fun & exciting

It is time for the Here and Meow Festival, and people are coming into Edgehill in droves. Amber Blackwood is busy with festival preparations, and making toys to sell at her store, The Quirky Whisker. Then the unthinkable happens... her toys start malfunctioning and Amber is forced to close her store until she can figure out what is going on. The Penhallow witch family shows up, planning to blend in with the festival crowd, while they work to locate the grimoire that Amber and her family have hidden from the Penhallows, so that they can get their hands on the legendary time-travel spell. I love this series, and this was a fun and exciting ending to the series. Edgehill is a lot of fun to read about, because all of the stores and restaurants are cat themed, as are the street names. There are also a lot of stray cats all around town. I would love to see a new storyline because I really enjoy the Edgehill setting and all of it's inhabitants. I highly recommend this charming series.

  • A Really Good Read!!!

I loved the previous books in this series and this one is no different. The Here and Meow Festival has arrived and straight away Amber finds herself in bother. She finds that she has to close her shop just at the wrong time with the town full of people. She feels that the Penhallows have something to do with her trouble and is worried her Grimoires may be discovered by them. Kept me on the edge of my seat...very exciting. Can't wait for the next one!!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • What a powerful story!

This is really a lesson for all of us...how we respond to events that happen to us can create repercussions that can reverberate around the world! Just like the wings of a butterfly can create a tsunami on the other side of the world...our actions are powerful things. We must always be mindful of how we respond to literally everything. The world around us is literally a "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" and any one decision can be "game over" in the blink of an eye if it was the wrong one. Fantastic conclusion to the series! Highly recommended read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
