    Fantastic Cat-Themed Mystery!

4.5 Stars! Welcome to Edgehill! The cat-themed town has many things to offer. A junior fashion show? Check! Shops with cat-related names, ie The Quirky Whisker, Purrcolated, The Catty Melt? Check! A descendant from a line of cursed witches out for vengeance and a spell that could change history? Check! Only weeks since her best friend was murdered and the local police chief caught her doing magic, Amber Blackwood’s life is set spinning once again. This time one of the Penhallows, a curse line of witches, is out for her blood. The problem with cursed magic is it works opposite of a normal spell and leaves a sticky trail once used. Also, a Penhallow can mimic the appearance and voice of anyone they choose. When another murder occurs with what Amber assumes is a Penhallow signature, living in Edgehill becomes deadly. Jackson’s journey into the world of Edgehill is slightly different than in the first installment of the series, Pawsitively Poisonous. While the first story was a who done it, this story is about imminent danger. While Amber, along with her sister, Willow, and aunt, Gretchen, try to stay alive and fight a force that can come in any form, they also have to deal with each other and the past misdeeds of the family. I love how Jackson grows Amber, not only as an adult, but as a witch as well. We see a different side of her in this novel. While she is still grieving her best friend, she does step out to have some fun and a budding romance. Love and friendship can’t save the Blackwood sisters, only a look into the past of their parents shows them the way to save their future. After the tremendous leaps Amber makes with her powers in this story, I can’t wait to see what she will do next in the third installment of this fascinating series, Pawsitively Secretive! I received Pawsitively Cursed for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

    Highly recommended!

It's the second book I read in this series that is becoming one of my favorite. It's a great paranormal cozy with a darker twist and some sadness. This mix makes it really enjoyable and makes you crave for more. The world building is interesting, I love the description of the town full of references to the feline world. The cast of characters is likeable, realistic and well written. The plot is full of twists and turns and fast paced. I look forward to reading the next instalment in this series. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This is a fascinating mystery with fabulous characters. I love Amber and her wonderful shop. This book is well-written with plenty of twists to keep me guessing to the end. Better than the first but sad ending!

I read the first book in this series, so I was glad to read the second because I liked the first so much. I dived right in, and I enjoyed this second one more than the first. There were so many revelations and secrets coming to light, and I loved seeing Amber work with Willow and her aunt Gretchen. I hope they stick around for more books. I was very sad at the end of the book, and I really didn’t want it to end that way. I can’t say much as it’s a major spoiler, but I’m hoping something different will happen. Besides the end, this was a fun-filled, well-written cozy paranormal, and I’m looking forward to more. I do recommend this book! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.

    Loved it!

Amber Blackwood, Edgehill's resident witch, has been haunted by the memory of her parents’ tragic deaths when she and her sister teenagers. Amber has always suspected that the fire that killed her parents was set deliberately by a witch from the cursed Penhallow clan. No one has heard anything from them since the night her parents died. Amber is shocked when her Aunt Gretchen shows up unexpectedly, claiming the Penhallows have resurfaced and that one of them is heading for Edgehill and Amber is in danger. When Amber's sister Willow comes to town also, the three witches join forces to find out what the Penhallows are after and get rid of them once and for all. I love this series. I am a huge fan of fantasy and supernatural fiction and these are among my favorites. It is a fun mystery...... a light read that is perfect for mystery lovers and fantasy/supernatural fans alike. I highly recommend it.
