    Wonderful book and series

I've read the entire series. These books are outstanding and addictive. The Gears are a husband and wife team who are archeologists. The books are fiction based on histories based on archeological evidence and American Indian lore. Even without the bonus of learning about America's lost history, the stories are wonderful. Masterful writing. Highly recommended

    Wow GREAt Book

This is a great read turning factual events and fiction into a thrilling and interesting read. If you are not into the history of the first nations people this will get you into it. It provides the reader with glimpses into the lives and ways of the first nations people and the pride and bravery they endured at times.

    Another great Gear book!

I love they incorporate their knowledge that is factually sound into these books. I also think it is very interesting how they weave things we deal with today into their characters' lives from their n perspective: dwarfism, mental illness, etc. And they manage to make the events that the characters deem magic or godly events meld with reality. As in, signs from their spirit helpers they interpret as divine could be just a bird in the right place at the right time.

    Tightly written

Week written, seamless editing. A definite page Turner. My only question is the very beginning of the book not tying in anywhere else in the book. Otherwise very much enjoyed. An interesting Window into the past. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
