    Recommended read

I really enjoyed this one. It was fun returning to Spinning Hills and see a few of the old characters I loved. Don't worry if you haven't read the first books in the series, this starts a new set of books focusing on a new group of characters. I really enjoy the writing style of this author. It's a fun, light, with a touch of humor and a slow easy romance. Paige Galloway can't believe what her life has come to. All she wants to do is raise her kids giving them a nice stable home and a good childhood. Now she finds herself living in Spinning Hills, single mom, and in the middle of a FBI investigation on her ex husband. The only bonus - the sexy FBI agent who moves in next door. Alex Hooke is on the job trying to find information on Paige's ex. He can't believe the perfect mom persona she puts on until he really gets to know her. He tries to put a halt to the attraction between them but some things can't be stopped. I highly recommend this one.

    Contemporary Romance

When I began reading I had no sympathy for Paige and wondered how she could be the female lead of any story – how could any man want a Barbie-Stepford Wife wannabe? Well, as I read Paige was explained and she grew and became oh so much more than she seemed in the beginning. Alex, the male lead in the story was gruff and tough and joyless…or so it seemed at first. He, too, grew and became as the story unfolded. They definitely were good in the story and good for one another. I liked them more and more as the book progressed and was rooting for them to have a HEA. This is a story of family and community, of finding one’s strengths and playing to them, of coming to terms with the past in order to move forward in life and…it is a story of finding love when unexpected. I have never read a book by this author but do look forward to reading the next book in the series because I REALLY want to know more about Hope and Gracie. Spinning Hills, Ohio sounds quirky and fun – I see online that there is a previous series written in this town that I have not read and wonder if I will be able to get my hands on those books, too. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the copy of this story. This is my honest review.
