  • Scary, but hopeful. Read it!

An important read for all, not only Americans. The documentation of how those who control, and misuse, AI erodes individual autonomy for profit (corporations) and power (politicians) is truly frightening. Yet, his suggestion to foster the use of encryption provides hope that those who desire global domination can be thwarted. The book is engaging and well crafted.

  • Wonderfully written and informative

An excellent chronology of Snowden in his own words. In many ways instructive if you’re not into tech and familiar if you are.

  • Interesting and Informative

I enjoyed learning more about Edward Snowden and how his background and values led him to take the steps he did. His description of how contractors do the work of the Intelligence Community was very illuminating. Unfortunately, I don’t think his revelations have made any difference.

  • A must read for anyone online

I think this book is a must read for anyone who uses the internet, especially the less they know about it - ignorance is bliss, but sometimes the bliss needs to end and knowledge must pave the way. In his own words, this book details the motive behind Snowden’s whistleblowing, while explaining at a high level what exactly the meaning of his whistleblowing was, in a manner that even inexperienced tech users can hopefully understand. Even if it doesn’t convince anyone to drop off the web and try to put a stop to their permanent record, the lack of awareness regarding what Snowden revealed is staggering: everyone needs to know what governments do in the shadows.

  • Clearness to a lot of my wonders

Edward Snowden has pay the price for his convictions. But in his book he also come forward with very fine explanations to many of my old questions as a IT user. He changed The way i am using IT.
