I loved this book. I like this genre and this is a great new addition. I will be buying more in this series. Good character development and the story line moved along really well. It was believable with a few twists and turns to keep it interesting. Thanks to the author for the great read.

  • Humanity 101

What a different take on cyborgs. It's refreshing to read a novel about cyborgs where their sexuality emerges organically as part of the plot without gratuitous blow by blow descriptions. The science behind the plot seems almost believable except for this definitely not being this end of the 21st century. Kyra is an older woman who is only too aware of the effect of time on a woman's body as well as being a survivor of sexual abuse. Her guilt for her involvement in the original cyborg development program and her drive to right what was later done to the cyborgs makes her as far from a romantic lead as you can get; couple this with her weapons of choice not being some huge sci-fi enhanced mega-gun but a science lab and a brilliant mind - it's no wonder that Peyton 313's humanity comes to the fore. As for the villains of the story - retribution is well-deserved. This is a really thoughtful take on a well-used trope and definitely worth reading. I'm looking forward to the other books in the series.

  • Quite interesting !

It has a good story line with nice world-building. There is a moral dilemma between human beings and cyborgs and how Kyra tries restore a cyborg to get his humanity back. This brings us the handsome, charming and very flirtatious captain Peyton. The characters were well developed and engaging with witty dialogues.
