These novels are well written and hold your attention to the last moment - you don't want the book to end. I have thoroughly enjoyed Philippa Gregory's take on the war of the roses. She brings life to the characters making you feel like you are an attendant at court. I highly recommend this trilogy if you are interested in historical fiction!

I enjoyed all three novels in this three book boxed set. The Lady of the Rivers, which should be read first, followed by The Red Queen and then The White Queen give you an intriguing look into the lives of the extraordinary women of The War of the Roses and the major roles they played in the building of the Britain. Philippa Gregory fleshes out her historical female protaganists so well that you can`t help but feel you know them intimately. You either admire or detest them for their passion, sacrifice and ambition. I enjoyed reading these books so much that I have gone on to read Philippa Gregory`s other books on the extraordinary women that came after these.

    The cousins'war - 3 books

Fantastic reading...I started with Lady though as this is the actual timeline. I immediately purchased the additional stories in this series

    Another perspective

I really enjoyed this 3rd book of the cousin's war because there was another perspective to the story, The Lancaster side, instead of The York side. The White Queen and The Red Queen were the exact same story but told in a different perspective from the enemy, you might say.
