What a journey this book takes you through. What an extraordinary boy and man. The absolute strength and courage he has. Stolen from his mom and given away. It had me in tears. I can't give away anything...just read it.

I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down as it is one of the best I have read in a long time. The pain of never belonging comes through every page. Definitely an 11 out of 10.

    A Must Read

To get an insight to the treatment of unmarried pregnant young girls in the 50s, to the bigotry of the Republicans against gay people and the blinkers they put on when AIDS was first discovered in the 80s, this is a read to open your eyes. It cannot be put down.

Really good book, I know it's a film now which I haven't yet seen but I probably will see now. This book made me cry and smile. Its always more touching when you know it's based on a true story. It's well written and I honesty couldn't put it down. Anyone who likes a true story that crosses continents and has the ability to make you cry I would recommend this.
