    Solid 3.5-star read

A solid 3.5 for me. I kinda wished I'd read the first book, because it took awhile to sort all the characters out in my head, and figure out who was related to whom, and in which way. I liked the way that Gage was so patient and considerate of everyone - including his mom, who made it hard for me to like her. You could tell there was chemistry between Gage & Carly and I liked that there wasn't too much misunderstanding in the way of them finally getting together. These books seem to be full of heart, and I'd definitely like to read more in the series. I voluntarily read & review an ARC of this book.

    Leaves you wanting more!

This is book 2 of the Meet the McIntyres series.  It focuses on Carly and Gage.  Gage is a veterinarian in a rural area of Australia.  Carly is a photographer, who recently moved to the area after a falling out with her family.   This book really focuses on family, some good, some bad.  You get to spend the Holidays with the McIntyres, and watch as the attraction between Carly and Gage slowly unfolds.  You also get to see the family drama from book 1 continue to play out.  There were a few "Aha" moments in this book, along with quite a bit of drama, to keep it moving.  What really stood out, for me, in this story was the vivid descriptions of the Australian countryside, that made it so easy to picture in my head.  It sounds wonderful! The ongoing saga of the McIntyre family makes this book a must read, if you enjoyed the first book, and definitely leaves you wanting to find out what happens in the next story!
