    I Loved It

Workaholic Dr. Charlotte Sinclair is a historian in the Maritime Museum. A rare night out at a concert will lead her to enough adventure to last several lifetimes. She discovers that her home city has lost of secrets and there is even a big one in her own family. Keegan is the lead singer in the "Scallywags" and an immortal pirate. He and his crew are searching for the religious relic that changed thier lives. The government agent that knows there are special people in this world will use anyone and everyone to keep those people and any artifacts from the reach of the unscrupulous ones. Lots of excitement and fun in this story. All the characters are fabulous, and very easy to fall in live with. Beware once you start this series you will be hooked. It is part of a series that is better read in order, although you could read it on it's own. I loved it.

You can't go wrong with immortal pirates!

I just loved setting sail on the Sea Dog with Lisa Kessler’s immortal pirates! This fast-paced read had a bit of everything I love – romance, intrigue, a strong and smart heroine, a hero with some serious pirate swagger, and a cast of characters that has you longing to part of the crew. I was fully invested in this series after the first book, Magnolia Mystic, so I wasn’t surprised to find myself quickly drawn in to the life of Samuel Keegan. He’s met his match in Dr. Charlotte Sinclair, but being immortal makes getting involved with anyone a risky proposition if you want to protect yourself from heartbreak. For Charlotte, Keegan brings out a side of her she doesn’t often let herself show, and once she learns the truth about Keegan she knows she wants to find a way to spend her life with him – and having that life be one that is immortal does all sorts of things to her inner historian! These two were all sorts of fun together and I really enjoyed their playful banter, especially when some pirate humor was thrown in. The quest for the holy grail, which the Sea Dog crew needs to maintain their immortality, has Keegan and Charlotte right in the middle of things, and both their lives are in danger. New players are introduced, old players can’t be trusted, and, my favorite part, some characters from one of the author’s other series make an appearance, which, in my opinion, has the potential to create some great crossover storylines. The only thing rougher than the seas for Samuel and Charlotte is the path they have to take to get to their happy ever after. The Sea Dog crew plays an important role in their story, from their need to protect Keegan from heartache, to their acceptance of Charlotte as part of their crew. And learning Charlotte’s background added exactly what this story needed to pull all the parts together. This is book 2 in the series but can easily be read as a standalone, although there is an overall series arc, so why not go back to book 1 and start from the beginning! Another great book from Lisa Kessler!

    Loved this book

I want to be a pirate or maybe just have one. Dr Charlotte is and expert on pirates, especially the pirates on the Sea Dog. She goes to club to hear the band, The Scallywags and meets Keegan, the lead singer who is a two hundred year old pirate. While there, an emergency arises about the Holy Grail that should have been lost when this ship went down. This Grail gives immortality but if it winds up in the wrong hands, it could change history. Charlotte is helping to search for the relic, when a secret is revealed to her. Others want the relic for their nefarious intentions. Keegan and Charlotte fall in love, but he is immortal and she is not. If the relic is not recovered, a cult will have it and there will be many deaths. How can Charlotte help with recovering this piece of history? She is only a historian in Savannah. A fun book with thrills and pirates. Loved Keegan. I received this book from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for a honest review and no compensation otherwise. The opinions expressed are my own.

    Wonderful and fun paranormal romance!

The first thing I must say is if you love romance, both regular and paranormal, you really need to read this author, and this book just highlights why. She can write words on a page, and the reader is immediately drawn into the story, no matter the content, and the people and places just come alive. Now, on specifically to this particular book. I am not a huge fan of pirates, but that doesn’t matter as this crew is so fun, hot, and full of kindness, you can’t help but love them. This latest book (there was previously a short story to introduce us to the cast) is full of great action, touch-your-heart romance, and an intense plot of finding lost treasure and will more than please fans of paranormal romance. And, the author is tying in another series of hers that just opens up so many stories. I really loved the ending of this book, and I can’t wait to read more. Please, let there be lots more! I highly recommend this book, series, and this author! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.

exciting plot filled with fun and flirty character

Dr. Charlotte Sinclair, Char, decided to let her hair down at the urging of her friends. Little did she know she was going to find herself thrust into a world that the artifacts that she studied really did have magical properties or that the man that makes her burn is over 300 years old. Samuel Keegan, lead singer in a southern rock band, couldn’t get the woman, Char, out of his head. When the top-secret government agency for policing the supernatural brings Char back into his life, he finds his world turned upside down. Pirates, the holy grail and lots of other mayhem come full force at the Sea Dog crew. I missed the first installment, but Pirate’s Passion stood just fine on its own. Kessler writes an exciting plot filled with fun and flirty characters and leaves us with the possibilities of more fantastic reads to come. I received this ARC copy of Pirate's Passion from Entangled Publishing, LLC - Entangled: Amara. This is my honest and voluntary review.
