A new series with a perfect pit friend.

Lily, cougar shifter, BFF of Hazel, ex FBI current sheriff of her home town, has decided to make it on her own. Her parents are gone (murdered) and her brother was recently murdered, she's decided to look up her uncle and only relative. Car trouble keeps her in town even before she meets Uncle Buzz. Leaving home doesn't keep her from murder. Of course, since the victim was so beloved in town—NOT—the number of suspects and reisidents are almost tied. Ms. George does a great job of giving clues that lead us in so many directions. She gives us loveable animals (dogs this time) and people good and bad. Will Lily make this her new home? Since in this world, humans don't know about shifters she has to learn to live with her secret. It keeps her from forming close relationships with the humans. Can she live by those rules? Especially with her feeling for Parker, a return VET who owns a dog rescue shelter. The characters in the town are likable with interesting back stories we want to learn more about. I am anxious for the next book. Thank-you, Ms. George, for creating another book world for us. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

    awesome book

Moving to a new town Lily did not know what to expect. Certainly not finding a sexy animal shelter guy or being a suspect in a murder investigation. What else could go wrong? I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is book 1 of the new cozy series Barkside of the Moon Mysteries by the author.

    A Fun Cozy Mystery

A really fun and interesting cozy mystery featuring Lily from Ms. George's Witchin' Impossible series. Lily is a cat shifter with the ability to tell if someone is lying to her. She decides to move from her hometown after things (and secrets) become too uncomfortable for her. When she learns she has an uncle who's living in the human world, she decides to look him up and find out how hard it is to life as a human. Of course, things never go as planned. On her first few days in her new town, she's knocked down (and adopted by) a pit bull named Smooshie and she finds a dead body. Wait, what? A dead body?!? Yep. Now to find out who killed her...and without getting dead herself. A very enjoyable book. I voluntarily agreed to read this book and received no compensation to do so.
