    Thanks for your feedback!

A great book for later-in-life musician returnees

I loved this book. Like the author, I returned to piano in my mid-50's after decades of hardly playing at all. And like him I was inspired to learn an advanced piece of music. So I found lots of inspiration as well as great tips for my own piano journey. I enjoyed his meetings with various pianists, neurologists, piano makers, etc., as well as how he managed to learn this piece in the midst of his super hectic job as editor of the Guardian. His many set backs and stumbles make him seem very authentic. Those of us who are not born virtuosos can relate!
