    Fantastic

Great book that kicks off what should be an amazing new series from this author. I love a Kelly Jamieson hockey romance but with this one we get a different view into the hockey world with insight into team ownership. The Wynn's are hockey royalty and Theo Wynn is taking his place now that his playing days are over. Doing things his way are important so he needs his grandfather off his back. That's how when he meets Lacey in Vegas he comes up with a crazy plan for a fake relationship and a quickie Vegas wedding. That's when the wild ride begins and all he can do is hang on! Don't miss this one. It's a fun read and I definitely recommend it.

    Great start to series!

Play to Win is the first book to a new hockey series by Kelly Jamieson. The Wynn family is pretty large and almost all of them are involved with the hockey world in some way. The family dynamic is pretty rocky with the Grandfather owning one hockey team and the father of our hero owning another. Family members are suing each other, step parents are accused of gold digging, petty jealousy driving others. The Wynn family will definitely keep things interesting in this series. This first book focuses on Theo Wynn. He had a very short career as a hockey player until an injury crushed those dreams. His intellect that he was bullied for as a kid will be the key to keep him in the hockey world. Making a risky move, he accepts his grandfather's job proposal to manage his hockey team at the risk of his father's anger. This will be the key to him showing his family what he can really do with that intellect mind of his. The night before Theo leaves Las Vegas, he rescues the waitress at the club. Lacey is being harassed by some thugs after her for her brothers gambling debt. There is just something about Lacey that has him doing things he never would, like marrying her and taking her with him to California to prove to his family that he doesn't care that his brother stole his girlfriend. What starts out as a fake marriage soon turns into more but Theo and Lacey are both pretty jaded about life. They struggle with trying to fight their attraction and keeping things platonic. They both are starting new lives and think they can only depend on themselves. This book is seeing that struggle and how they overcome all the past hurt and take the risks to their heart to find happiness in each other. You meet so many of the Wynn family and I"m already invested in seeing them set aside the anger and hurt. Lacey was one step in that direction. She brought a couple of these family members closer together. I look forward to more of their story in the upcoming series.

    Definitely A Win

In Play To Win by Kelly Jamieson, we are introduced to the Wynn Dynasty and boy are they a crazy bunch! Meet Theo Wynn an ex-Hockey player which happens to be the grandson of a Hockey legend. He’s constantly trying to prove himself off the ice with his brilliant mind and he is a tad rigid and OCD but also SEXY as sin! Lacey Olson has done nothing but take care of everyone around her since she was 15. She’s worked so many different jobs just to make ends meet. She finds herself looking to get out of Vegas and fast after her brother borrows money from the wrong people. When Lacey meets Theo and he suggests a quick marriage in Vegas that will help both of them with their problems. First Lacey relocating to L.A. and Theo will be getting back at his brother with a beautiful woman on his arm. What they don’t figure into the equation is the spark they feel between them! This is my first read by author Kelly Jamieson and I have to say I read this book in a day! I’m not a big sports fan but this story takes us through so much more than just a sport. There’s so many emotions high and low, some twists and turns, and you will fall in love with both Theo and Lacey! Although, Theo came from a big family I didn’t find it hard to keep up with the different characters. The way Kelly Jamieson wrote about these characters made them each have a little something to stand out and remember them by without bogging you down trying to keep up! I CAN NOT WAIT to read the second book in the Wynn Series coming in July! Yes, I’ve already looked because I want to dive deeper into this family and the wonderful characters!

    5 HOT!!! Hockey stars.

Play To Win is the first in a brand new hockey series by Kelly Jamieson. This new dynastic family is the ‘Wynn’s and it’s one of the biggest and most convoluted bunch of people I’ve ever read about in a fictional story. Théo is the first of the Wynn’s to get his story. He’s on a night out celebrating with friends because he is leaving Las vegas for a new job the next morning, when he meets Lacey. Lacey is a cocktail waitress struggling to make her rent when she gets to tend Théo table, and even though they shouldn’t, they are attracted to one another. It’s clear from that first moment that these two are destined to be together. When Lacey finds herself out of work and in deep water, Théo offers a helping hand, and she soon finds herself in Los Angeles and living the high life. Théo’s life is changed in many ways when he has spontaneous and lively Lacey under his roof, but it’s what he needs to get his head out of the ‘analytical’ mire his gets bogged down in. Théo is a former NHL player, and has been hired by his grandfather to be GM of his team, so he has a lot on his plate already and adding Lacey is at times more than he can handle. Plus, he has one crazy mixed up family, when a lot of conflict going on. Théo and Lacey’s relationship may be unconventional at first, but the chemistry is all to real and soon, so are their feelings for one another. But, it only takes one misunderstanding for it all to go sideways and it’s down to Théo to set things right. I really enjoyed this book, Théo and Lacey make a great pair. They are believable. Sweet and romantic at times and whew! Some of the steamy scenes might make you blush, lol. Great start to a fabulous new series that I can’t wait to read more of. Book 2, In It To Win It, can’t come soon enough.
