    A good read

A few too many typo's but still a good story. Triumph over adversity is the moral of the story. I hope book 2 is just as good.

    Poll Pride

This book was a slow starter, reading about Poll Pride and her family of her husband Matthew, children Lucy and Benn. They quite close to her mother in law and Matthew's brother, Who was working to get the workers into a union, that was not as yet formed. Matthew had problems getting work to keep the family fed and warm. At such a point he got no work at all, Polly being from Ireland had ideas how she could keep the family fed and watered by using how she had lived before Matthew. But she needed money to start off this business, she took her furniture to the pawnshop. To say the least Matthew was not to happy as he was a proud man. Now read the story to see how it all enfolds

    Riveting

Brilliant story couldn't put it down, still reading early hours of morning, to see what happened next! Freda Lightfood is a brilliant, talented author.
