  • Another Masterpiece by Silva

Since I was first introduced to his work I have voraciously read all of the works of Daniel Silva, and have followed the exceptionally storied career of Gabriel Allon. I had no idea what would happen when his tenure with the Israeli government ended. I now know and will continue to anticipate the coming of mid-July when his new books are released.

  • A disappointing read

Now retired from his responsibilities as head of the "Office" in Israel and living in Venice where he works a a restorer of fine art, Allon and several former colleagues are investigating forgeries of noted art works. They travel back and forth between the UK, France, Spain, Italy and the USA as part of their investigation. I found that this book dragged in spots and, unlike many of the previous novels featuring Allon, I had no trouble "putting this book down" . . . I have been an avid reader of Daniel Silva's series featuring Gabriel Allon, but I found this newest in the series disappointing.

  • Love love love this book

What a great story. Different than the others but that is a good thing. Hope Mr. Silva will write in that same veine again. Unfortunately I finished the book in one day thus will have to wait another year. Strongly recommend this book it is worth every penny.

  • Portrait

Having read all of the Gabriel series I continue to be amazed at the energy and freshness of each new book. Feeling that I know Gabriel personally I enjoyed this fresh twist in his career. Always looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks for adding pleasure for so many of us to enjoy.

  • A page turner

A great read. A very interesting look at the art world and the greed and gullibility of rich patrons of the arts.
