  • Possession (clubx) #3

I read all 3 books in one night. This series Club X is wonderful.. But Kane is my favorite character. No spoilers allow but I cried with this one alot, it is such a touching story. Hopefully the best is still coming for all these wonderful Men

It’s time for Kane’s story. I’ve been craving his story ever since meeting him in Temptation. He’s cold, distant and broody, but he sometimes showed a soft side. I loved getting to know everything about Kane and I understand why he acted the way he did. He has a few secrets and he didn’t have the best childhood. His mom is a weird woman who’s very angry. Kane manages the fantasy rooms and makes sure everything runs smoothly there. When someone causes trouble, Kane intervenes. He gets along great with everybody who works in the rooms. Abbi wants to dance at Club X, because she needs the money desperately. Kane doesn’t want Abbi to dance, but Abbi can be a bartender at the club. But Kane can’t stop thinking about Abbi. One day, Kane saves Abbi and it’s the start of something beautiful between them. Kane and Abbi have both hurt by someone they loved in the past and that still affects their lives. I felt for them on many occasions. Both of them need each other. They make everything better for each other. They believe in each other and understand each other. Kane and Abbi are protective and would do everything for the other, even if it put themselves in trouble. I loved Kane and Abbi together. I absolutely love Cash, Stefan and Kane relationship. I also love it that Cash and Stefan call Kane brother and not half-brother. The three men become even closer during these books. They would do everything for each other. They support each other and they will always have each other’s back. All the men change after falling in love and the love makes them better men.

  • Good Start but awful end

I liked the beginning of the book. I liked the characters all up until the middle of the book. The last 4 chapters could have been much much shorter. The back and forth of Abby and Kane was redundant and so annoying that I regretted starting it. Then, the end was so negative and I don't know why. Even Stefans book had a positive ending! I was left sad and disappointed. Im not bothering with the fourth book.

  • Blah!

Absolutely loved the first 2 books and this is the one I most looked forward to as Kane is just my type. I've got to say that I'm sorely disappointed. Both characters came across desperate, they kept on repeating the same things over and over again like the author had to get her word count up and couldn't think of anything else so it got very repetitive and some parts were just cringeworthy.

  • disappointing

I really really expected more from this book. For once more proofreading would have been beneficial. But the most annoying was the continuous self blaming of Abbi. Yes I get it, she was conditioned by previous abusive boyfriends to take on all blame and responsibility for their misbehaviour, but please please could there not be at least a little improvement? Yes, this cannot disappear overnight as also the conditioning of Kane to view himself as a "monster" cannot disappear overnight, but it really grated on my nerves, that both are so stuck in their ways and repeat their mistakes every 30 pages during the book. They get no resolution, so if you want to know how everything resolves you will have to buy book 4, but I rather abstain from it.
