  • Explosive

When Cutter Grogan's business partner and her sister are murdered, he heads to LA with only one thing on his mind. Finding those responsible and exacting vengeance. What he finds leads him into one twisted path after another. Just how far across the line do you go for revenge? Is blowing it up or burning it down enough or must they all die? If you're looking for the edge of your seat action and suspense this book has it. This is the second book in this series so be sure you read the first book to see how it all started. Great series and I look forward to more Cutter Grogan.

  • Powder Burn

As a fan of Ty Patterson's I wondered about his new hero--CUTTER GROGAN. He may just be my new book boyfriend. Love the character and the stories. Cutter is a self-proclaimed fixer. The problem, how do you fix it when they are dead? His friend and business has been killed in LA. He doesn't trust anyone else, including the police, to find out who to make pay. He's gonna have to fight gangs, agencies, and surprise culprits. It's not like he has a full team at his six to help--well maybe he can call on a few friends for supplies and such. The story is filled with bad guys, good guys who like him, maybe, but he doesn't exactly follow the rules. What are they gonna do with that? He has friends who he has "fixed" for in the past who are more than willing to do their part. He just insists they stay out of the fight. Great characters, plenty of action, never a dull moment, and a visit or two from some old friends who Ty Patterson fans will know and love to see again.

An amazing suspense to keep you reading. Cutter is great at his job. When someone close to him is killed, it’s definitely personal. Definitely gripping.

  • The second book of Cutter Grogan is exhilarating.

“Powder Burn” is the second book in the series of Cutter Grogan by Ty Patterson. I loved the first book and the second book is exhilarating. Cutter finds out that his partner from the first book, Arnedra, and her sister, Vienna, have been tortured and sexually assaulted prior to being murdered. Arnedra was a fabulous business partner who Cutter formerly rescued. Arnedra and Violet were killed in Los Angeles so Cutter immediately decided to travel to L.A. to exact his revenge on the savages who extracted the lives of his friends. His actions became personal, despite the fact that the police were arduous in detecting the villains. Cutter is called “The Fixer”. He believes that he could be capable of discovering a closure to his sadness and mourning. Cutter’s first plans were to investigate the two gangs in L.A. who the police thought could be responsible. Both gangs, after Cutter’s meticulous, innovated and terrifying plans, denied any responsibility. More perilous action follows by Cutter to detect any pointers to the eventual villains. The police are essentially stuck for clues but Cutter’s cutthroat actions have compelled the police to think he’s acting illegally and have started to look for him. Quindica and Difiore (introduced in the first book) have been sent to LA on a case and, although they usually criticize him to his face, they know what he’s like and are rare friends. Fortunately, Cutter also has some close friends in L.A. who can help him without betraying him and he also has the help of his friend, Zeb Carter and his gang, for obtaining very hard-to-find resources. Once again, Zeb and friends, who are in L.A., are available to help Cutter at the end of the story. I really did enjoy Cutter’s colossal and forceful skills. His acrobatics are superb and the actions in the book are excellent with complicated plots and very messy results. I recommend that, although this book is a standalone, it would be better if you read the first book to enjoy this one more. Ty Patterson writes excellent books which are fast-paced and full of thrills. I am looking forward to the next Cutter Grogan book.
