    Subterfuge

The deception and intrigue in Primary Command holds your interest as you keep turning pages to see how the plot and sub-plots unfold. Initially Luke Stone and his team are sent to rescue three men who were captured trying to install listening devices attached to the Russian communications network under the Black Sea. However, as we find out later, it is the first in a series of events that are masterfully woven to initiate World War III. Another page-turning thriller by Jack Mars!

Excellent, gripping sequel to Primary Target

Superbly written, gripping thriller that further develops the characters of Luke Stone and the other Special Response Team (SRT) members. Jack Mars skilfully incorporates psychological aspects, subterfuge and betrayal in a fast paced plausible and tense storyline that held my attention throughout. I eagerly await the next instalment in this excellent series.

    Primary Command

Luke Stone is starting to become the character we known in later books. Good storyline and some really sneaky characters - including our first meeting with his ‘personal information gatherer’ Kent Philby.
