  • Brilliant!

I have been a Baytown Boys fan from the first book, and just when it seems there can be no new stories – Maryann Jordan adds one. There is a sense of impending doom as we meet Millie and see how she is treated on set, and, when disaster strikes, it’s as bad as feared. Her lawyer recommends that she moves to Manteague to recover in quiet and anonymity, and that’s where she meets Wyatt, the chief of police. Wyatt gives Millie space to heal, to recover, and to regain her emotional strength, and he is her protector when her past comes back for revenge. It’s another brilliant Baytown Boys book, and another that makes you feel that there is some good in the world after all.

  • A great addition to this series

Once again Maryann has wrote an emotional read in this wonderful series about the men and women of Baytown and its surrounding areas who left to join various branches of the military wanting an escape from their small town only to realise that it is home to them all and a refuge for many of their fellow military who have no home to return to. In this latest instalment we get the story of Wyatt Newman, the Police Chief of Manteague he is a man who has returned to the town he grew up in and where he has finally outgrown the shame of growing up poor When new neighbour Milly attracts his attention he is all and soon they are starting a relationship but what will happen when he learns of her past as America's sweetheart Camilla a actress whose world was shattered in an on screen accident that left her with scars. Can he forgive her for withholding information and can she finally find peace You will have to read to see. We also get a tantalising glimpse of the next book in this series and an entire new series.

  • Wyatt's tale

The Baytown community grows with Wyatt and Millie's journey to love. As always this author pens a tale you want to snuggle down to read from start to finish.

  • A beautiful emotional journey…

I just love Wyatt and Millie! When Millie’s world is turned upside down she needs a place to hide and heal. Wyatt Newman has accomplished alot in his personal life and now career as the police chief in his small beach town. But nothing prepares him for his beautiful new neighbor Millie. She intrigues him. She’s scared and needs a protector and he’s just the man for the job. Wyatt is a loving caring man with a beautiful soul. Only his patience understanding and love can bring Millie back from the darkness her world has turned into. He saved her from herself once. Can he do it a second time? This is such a sweet beautiful story. Wyatt and Millie are perfect together. I love how the town accepts Millie and made her feel like family! “I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”

  • Secrets and Dreams

Opposites drawn together, reaching, opening up. I love the Baytown Boys series. Each book is a standalone but so much fun when read in order as beloved characters can be found within the pages of the book. Warmth, friendship, family. Unexpected events. Another wonderful story by the talented Maryann Jordan! I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
