    Prussian Blue

As the rest, top reading and sorry to arrive ti the last page. Waiting for the next. Will Gunther stay in Munich for long, or will find some interesting secrets in the swiss banks?

    The mechanism of evil

Probably the best Bernie Gunther novel. It flashes back and forth between two troubled periods in German history. The author uses Bernie's story to exemplify how the German people were overtaken by the Nazis and then the communists. These times remain valuable history lessons that we all need to learn. All this while enjoying a terriffic story of suspense and intrigues. This is Bernie at his best!

"Prussian Blue" not up to standard!

I have read every Bernie Gunther novel and have eagerly awaited the next one. Unfortunately, "Prussian Blue" was a let-down. I found Bernie had become too long-winded in both dialogue and thought. I actually struggled to finish this novel. I've given 3 stars only because I truly love this character and the series. I hope this was just a one-off and Kerr kicks it up a notch or two in the next one.
