4 1/2 Hearts from MM Good Book Reviews

4 1/2 Hearts Reviewed by Pixie If you’ve never read any of the PsyCop’s series then this anthology is a good way of being introduced to some of the characters in the series and getting a taste of the chaotic life that Vic and Jacob live. If you have read the PsyCop series then this is a wonderful opportunity of seeing the guys in a slightly different light at different times; before, during and after the series, we also get the chance to see out of Jacob’s eyes a couple of times and from Lisa’s POV. This is a fantastic collection, we get to see a slightly softer (only slightly though) side of Vic at times, we get some intimate times between Vic & Jacob (I will never be able to put a shelving unit together again without thinking about these guys) and we also get some great times as Vic hunts for ghosts (with Jacob of course). This is a true treat as we get the chance to revisit the PsyCop world; we get insight into Vic’s feelings for Jacob that he usually keeps them well hidden, we see glimpses into friendships that we don’t usually catch and we get to see Vic and Jacob when they have down time. Oh a quick word about the anthology, the stories aren’t in chronological order so one story will be near the end of the series and the next could be from the beginning of the series, it makes for an interesting read though😉 I recommend this to those who love urban fantasy type stories, contemporary paranormal and ghosts & spirits. Who love getting a deeper insight into characters, who love quirky ghosts, and who adore brilliant characters.

    PsyCops Briefs Vol 1

Jordan Castillo Price takes us back into the world of Victor Bayne and Jacob Marks, one of the most beloved pairings in M/M paranormal. In this collection of new shorts and novellas plus previously published material we follow glimpses into Vic and Jacob's lives between the novels. Jordan has provided a timeline to where the stories belong, and the stories follow in this order. As you read each story their relationship matures. Some stories are relationship stories and some are filled with ghosts from sad repeaters to full manifestations. A story is either from Vic's or from Jacob's point of view (POV) This is especially nice since Jacob's POV never shows in the novels. As a long time PsyCops reader the new stories were wonderful to read and the previously published ones were old friends coming for a visit. This is a must have for any PsyCop fan.

    Catching up with old friends.

Normally I do not read short stories as the is never enough meat to them. But I made the exception this time because of two reasons. 1 it was JCP and 2 it was PHYCOPS and you can never have to much of either of these things. What I found was that I did not feel like I was reading short stories, I felt like I had caught up with some old friends and they were catching me up to their lives with E-mails. Do I recommend it? In a heart beat. Would I buy another one like it? I've got my money ready.

    Loved it...

These are longer and shorter stories, but always typically Vic and Jacob! I loved all, the ones I already knew and the ones new to me. Can't wait for the next volume!
