    Better than the first book!

As the star of this series, Frank Friendship is brilliant. He walks a thin line between adorable and insane that draws the reader in from the moment he appears on the page. His poor impulse control and special talent for getting himself into tricky situations make the perfect storm for a wild and often crude tale full of twists and turns. Frank finds himself neck deep before he knows what has happened. This is the story of a man trying to save himself, without knowing what from. We are given a good view from several angles as events unfold, allowing readers to understand how circumstances are weaving together but still be left wondering how it will work out. Phyllis is as complex a figure as one would hope for. Marek the naked magician is hysterical and we finally get a glimpse of just what it is that he does on stage. Catman is bizarre and perfect. This book is definitely a mystery, with just enough key players to carry it off, but not so many that the reader becomes confused or disoriented. This is the second book in the Frank Friendship series. If you have not read the first book, this one is still great. It is written as a standalone, but the first book gives some very valuable insight into many of the characters. I loved the first book, but this one was even better. I love where Manse is taking his lead character. Frank is kind hearted, but completely lacking in social skills. Frank is extreme and possibly a bit of a madman – and he is irresistible. His behavior ranges from comical to astonishing and we quickly realize that he is not playing with a full deck exactly – more with a deck and a half, with some cards conspicuously absent. I asked the author if he would provide me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

    A great read.

I'm hooked on this series. Just like the first, it's hard to put down. Lots of twists and turns and just a great story. If you read this and enjoyed it then you will not be disappointed by the others.

    more surprises, more secrets!

Pursue Friendship in a nutshell is "secrets and schematics!" The second book in the series continues with unbelievable twists and wicked characters! After Book 1, you might think you know Frank, but he just keeps on surprising and keeps on growing on you. The whole book is like one of Frank's jigsaws. Not like a 500 piece puzzle, but a massive 100K piece puzzle. Simply exciting, then a bit frustrating and in the end, magnificent!

You think you can predict the outcome? Think again

Even though this book is written so it is a stand alone, I would recommend reading the first book to familiarize themselves with the characters. In this sequal to Screw Friendship, we again meet up with Frank Friendship. As Frank's character unfolds, we learn more than we might want to know about him! He has a knack for getting himself in some pretty sticky situations. As the story leads us through many twists and turns, you can't help but to get caught up in Frank's life. You'll find out that Frank has a soft side that you didn't think could exist in such an abrasive character. The supporting cast of characters are so vastly different from the people that you might know. From Frank's newly reunited daughter, Rosy, Catman,, the local homeless guy. To Marek, the naked magician (yes, I said "naked") you will never believe where this book takes you! I couldn't put it down and am now determined to read every book in this series! RG Manse, you've done it again!

If you weren't hooked after the first book..

Wow. Just when you think that you might have Frank and some of the other characters figured out... This book was fantastic. Unlike most mysteries there is not much predictability where the plot and characters are concerned which makes this series so readable and engaging. Also it is not your cookie-cutter mystery, don't expect a Jessica Fletcher type who-dunnit and you will not be disappointed. As for me I can't wait to start the next book! Happy Reading everyone!
