  • A Story of Lovely Love!

I have been reading very descriptive and vivid accounts of relationships between characters and I love that kind of stuff. Very early in these stories, even though they are great stories, the relations between the H and h get very deep and intense, very quickly. The story between Noah and Katie was very nice to read whereby their story progressed and was "recalled", so to speak, when you got details about their friendship as very young teens. It was nice and sweet and good to imagine and read about. I am looking forward to the next set of stories for all of the characters in the series' from the author(s). Just really nice to read an actual love story that has all parts to it...introduction, the fun of youth and friendship, uncertainty about each other and feelings, hurt and pain, resilience, then love.

  • complex plots, wonderful characters and soul deep

No one can beat Kennedy Fox when it comes to second chance romance. Pushing You Away is another example of their brilliance. I don't know how they get these devilish ideas to make us suffer through an absolute emotional ride. But I am grateful that they have an endless line of complex plots, wonderful characters and soul deep feels. (I reviewed an early copy voluntarily )

  • Loved Noah and Katie!

I was really looking forward to this book because I haven't read many books with ex-cons and the blurb drew me in immediately. Well, I really enjoyed this book! Noah and Katie were the sweetest thing. I cannot believe what the two have them have gone through and are still going through. As both Noah and Katie are trying to find their footing again after Noah getting out of prison, there is crazy things happening. The whole time you're trying to figure out who exactly is holding something against Noah and that ending will leave you reeling!!! Holding You Close will be one heck of a read because I cannot wait to see what happens next and if Noah and Katie will finally be able to be happy! This was my first read of Kennedy's and I'm excited to read more by them!

  • Second Chances

Pushing You Away was awesome!!! It's a second chance, small town romance. It's one of those books that you want to devour but slowly! Can't wait for the conclusion!!!

  • "I used to dream about you kissing me."

I was very eager to start reading “Pushing You Away” because I had always wondered about Katie’s relationship with Noah and why she was so mad at him. So many questions popped into my mind while I was reading. Can Noah apologize for the sins of his past so his future will look brighter? Is it possible for him to ignore the sideways glances and rude comments as he attempts to adjust to small town living? Can Noah win back Katie after all these years? Will being honest with her about his past be enough for her to trust him again? Will the small town gossip end up being too much for either of them to handle? What bothers Noah the most is that Katie wants nothing to do with him, and I feel sorry for him because everyone deserves a second chance. Katie should be more receptive to hearing what Noah has to say, even though she is still mad that he refused to talk to her when he was in prison. She needs to put that behind her and allow Noah to become the friend to her that he once was. Noah needs her friendship now more than ever and I hope that Katie can remember the good times they had and use that to be someone that Noah can trust. He desperately wants Katie to believe that he has changed because he will do anything to be with her again. Can love conquer all or will forces beyond their control interfere with their happiness?
