    Love

Another great read by Dorothy Benton Frank! Couldn’t put it down. My Dad always had honey bees so it brought back wonderful memories.

    The Perfect Summer Read

Holly Jensen is a young woman living with her attention- seeking mother on Sullivan Island in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Her life is a quiet one - caring for her mother and the motherless young boys from next door, volunteering at the library, and attending to her three beehives. More than anything, Holly wants to become the new wife to Archie, and step-mother to the boys next door. Holly’s more extroverted sister Leslie moves back to the island after leaving her husband Charlie, who is making a dramatic change to his way of life. Her move back to the island not only brings new life to their mother, lovingly referred to as Queen Bee, but also a co-conspirator in Holly’s quest to romance Archie. Archie, however, marries another woman and Holly begins to see Archie in a completely different light. What can she do to protect those young boys from their wicked new stepmother and their love-stricken father? Dorothea Benton Frank has written another captivating tale. Her characters are likeable and bursting with personality. I found the story to be engaging and I liked the fact that it stresses the importance of living one’s own life. The perfect summer read.

    Funny and outrageous

Loved this book. All the characters were great including the bees. Who could not love Holly. She was the greatest. And don't forget Char. What a character. Enjoyed everything about the bees. They are so very vital the world's survival.

    Excellent

I have read all of Dorothea's books and eagerly await the release of the next one. Having vacationed on the Isle of Palms many times I always look forward to the mention of places that I have been to.
