  • "All that rage... It'll be your ruin."

Holy flying gargoyles everywhere! My poor heart... My poor heart is still beating like crazy, my mind is still all over the place, my eyes are still full of tears and my thoughts are still wandering back to this story. To this heart-stopping ending, to that endless sea of emotions that's threatening to swallow me whole. How am I supposed to live the torturous wait till the next one now and what am I supposed to do with myself after this. I feel like a part of my soul is missing just like Zayne's and I just need more so I could find my inner peace back again. That was another great adventure in this unique world I slowly grew to love in the past years. Such a well-thought sequel to this series and I'm already so eager to dive into the next one. I love this story, the characters, the way they evolved, the witty dialogue, the epic battles, but mostly I love all the emotions it made me experience. JLA never fails to deliver in that department. I went through the whole gamut of emotions. But at the same time there were plenty of battles, action-packed scenes and intense moments. So the book was a perfect combination of everything I find appealing and attention grabbing in a book. It totally sucked me in and didn't let go till the very end. And what an amazing love story. It absolutely melted my heart and filled my soul. Zayne and Trinity were so perfect for each other. He sertainly knew what he wanted but I'm glad he gave her space to figure out her feelings all by herself. I wanted to slap some sense into her for even questioning everything between them. But I'm glad she finally came to her senses and boy all that pent-up tension exploded like a dynamite. It was passionate and truly beautiful. That ending though...Wow still trying to wrap my head around it. I seriously need the next one right now. The wait would be hard to endure. But it would be a great opportunity to go back from the very start and reread <3 #TeamZayne

  • Wonderful Book!!

I am feeling a whole lotta things after finishing Rage and Ruin. This book sucked me in from the start and had me hooked and engaged till the very end. This world and these characters are, and probably always will be, my favorite of Jenn's. I feel like I have been with them throughout each of their journies and they hold a special place in my heart. Zayne and Trinity are no exception, I love them. They go on a roller coaster of emotion in Rage and Ruin, and I definitely went with them. It's hard not to with these two. The storyline was entertaining, thrilling, surprising, and so emotional. I can't wait for the next book, I need answers now!

  • Excellent Romance and Two Amazing Characters

This series is amazing! I honestly cannot get enough of it. Zayne was always my favourite character of the original series, so I absolutely loved seeing his growth her in the sequel. Yet Trinity's growth and development were exponential. She is a complicated character, and I am thrilled to keep seeing her fight for what she believes and what she believes. The story was packed with action, drama, conflicting feelings, and new lore. There were so many twists and turns and exciting appearances, from both old characters and new. So much emotion had been packed into this book, especially near the shocking ending that I need answers to. And the romance... easily one of the best I'd ever read. Armentrout is a master at sensory description and the connecting emotions. Every moment between Zayne and Trinity were beautiful and steamy. I truly love these two and how they brought out the best in each other and grew as a couple. Their hurts had me wanting them to comfort them both and hope for their happiness. I'm so attached to both of the characters and the world, I cannot wait to see where it happens next! Excellent for anyone who loves gargoyles, demons, strong feisty heroes, intense action, and passion. I loved it!

  • What A Rollercoaster Of Emotions!

What a rollercoaster of emotions! This is the first book that's made me tear up this year. I need the next book in this series as soon as humanly possible! There were so many highs and lows and even more wrench-your-heart-out lows. Trinity has a good head on her shoulders. She tries her best to be self-sufficient and strong but knows when to ask for help. I appreciate her wanting to resolve the conflict that came up between her and Zayne like rational human beings by using their words. She's very mature and I love that. Zayne went from sweet to a slight douche bag and right back to sweet and understanding. My heart didn't know what to believe in this novel. It hurt to experience all their ups and downs when I just wanted to hug them and tell them they would be okay. One of the best parts of this book turned out to be Roth! I love his witty banter with Trin. I really enjoy him as a character. This book really convinced me that I never had a problem with Roth. I just really disliked having to be in Layla's head all that time. The biggest twist at the end had me tearing up. I was going to flat out refuse to believe that I had read that part in the first place. I was going to metaphorically burn these books out of my mind if the author had gone along with it. On that note, I'm SO SO SO glad she didn't! I want to know what happens next! The Audio Book: The narrator was amazing! All the characters were distinguishable from each other. There were no strange noises in the background to distract from the story.
