    Forgive and Start Over

It's no surprise that I loved this second book in the Haven Point Series! I enjoyed going back to this special town. When I read the first book, I liked McKenzie Shaw a lot and I really enjoyed getting to know her better. Her back story was fascinating, especially learning that McKenzie wasn't her real name! She is the mayor and will do anything for her town. The one person she really despises is Ben Kilpatrick because she holds him responsible for the town's economic demise when he closed the family factory years ago! When she suddenly finds him renting the house next to hers for the summer, she doesn't know what to do! And when she finds out the reason, she is on a one-woman mission to perhaps save the town and bring back the town from economic ruin! Little does she know that things will become personal as she gets to know Ben and all the reasons things happened the way they did all those years ago. I really loved learning about Ben too. So many twists and turns in his back story also! I had a very hard time putting this book down. I would say the one thing that came out of this book for me is that you can't judge people because you don't know everything that has happened to them in their lives. Ben and McKenzie certainly didn't know that and the TOWNSPEOPLE certainly didn't know that about Ben either. I would highly recommend this book!! ***I received this book from the author for a honest review

    Redemption Bay

Thayne brings this small town to life in a big way with her latest Haven Point novel. The novel is simultaneously emotional and romantic, leaving you with a feeling of redemption. Thayne takes the concept of second chances and spins it, proving that second chances really do happen in all walks of life. She also shows that life can be funny at the most inopportune moments. My heart may have been on my sleeve throughout, but that didn’t stop me from laughing at the characters’ antics. The story itself is intricately and realistically crafted, providing an endlessly enjoyable tale for readers. I loved how emotionally and intellectually involved these characters were in this story, both with one another and with the town itself. The main characters were counterpoints to one another, creating a contrast that not only highlighted their personalities but truly allowed readers to see deep into the relationship. Thayne showcases all sides of the story, allowing readers to get to know all of the characters, not simply the two at the forefront. Thayne has once again created a fantastic novel that takes readers deep into the lives of her characters. It was a heart-warming and enjoyable novel that I truly treasured. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

    Packed full of emotion.

RaeAnne Thayne always writes stories that are packed full of emotion. Coming to terms with change is never easy. Ms Thayne has crafted a story of unity, healing, transition, forgiveness and understanding. Redemption Bay is a story about moving on, letting go and finding strength in moments of weakness. I enjoyed reading this book.
