    delightfully funny romance

Reforming A Rake is book one in the With This Ring series by Suzanne Enoch. This was a delightful book. There are so many hilarious moments. The hero Lucien Balfour reminded me of Hugh Laurie’s character in the television show House. He is acerbic, sarcastic, inappropriate and completely selfish. I think I fell in love with him. “He stood in the doorway, gazing at her. At first, all she took in were his eyes - a fine light gray beneath dark, sardonic brows. Gradually the rest of him sank into her sense. Tall, with dark hair curling at his collar and an athlete’s lean build, he had a French aristocrat’s high cheekbones and arrogant, shamelessly sensual mouth. He remained where he was, unmoving, for several long seconds. “You’re here for the governess position?” he asked in a deep, cultured drawl. “I…” Alexandra nodded, shivering a little as the sound of his voice resonated down her spine in electrifying spirals. “I am.” “You’re hired.” Alexandra Gallant is a lovely heroine with just the right mix of spunk and gentleness. I loved this book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. I checked this book out from the local library.
