I'd play doctor with Grady Carmichael any day ;)

Kaylee Ryan is a go to and go back to author for me. She has a way with cowboys and rock stars and now doctors as well. I'd play doctor with Grady Carmichael any day ;). This second chance older brothers best friend romance had all the feels. Grady screwed up big time when it came to Collins, but before he could even try to fix the biggest mistake of his life, he had to follow through with a promise he made himself. To reach his goal of becoming a doctor he had to leave home and everything important to him including Collins behind. One of my favorite parts of this story is little did Grady know but Collins was also influenced by the same thing he was in her career choice. These two truly meant for each other, but sometimes timing is just wrong or maybe it was just right. Now if only Collins could let her guard down and see what everyone else including her older brother sees and that is Grady and Collins time is now and forever! Loved this read!!!!

    Romantic

So good! I loved this story. It is a bit of a slow burn, but so worth it. Dr. Carmichael is swoon worthy! I found this book to be filled with romance.

    Five mesmerizing stars!

Five mesmerizing stars! Review by Angelique Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog There’s butterflies-in-the-stomach kind of books, ugly-cry kind of books, and then there’s Remedy by Kaylee Ryan. This book wholeheartedly deserves to fall under the stars in your eyes kind of books. In her latest release, Remedy, Kaylee Ryan introduces us to Grady and Collins. Grady is freshly graduated and on his way to becoming a full-time doctor and Collins is already a full-time nurse. “She’s real, she’s my heart and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” These two have an unconventional connection as Grady is Collins’ older brother’s best friend and as rules go, the possibility of anything is a definite no-go. Not to mention, crushing on someone isn’t all that serious and if you are the younger sister it’s almost a rite of passage to have a crush on your brother’s best friend. Their story starts off with a bang and there’s not a moment in the entirety of this book that doesn’t keep your attention. It is filled with emotion, beauty and a determination that will quite literally have you in tears-the good kind. Grady is sweet and gentle and is very eager to get what he wants even if it takes a lifetime of trying. It is impossible not to root for him to get there. Collins has all the reason in the world to not just jump into something. She’s scared it would turn out like the first time but, with time, she too sees that maybe there is so much more if you just let the past stay where it should. There is always a risk involved when you follow your heart, whether it be outside forces or your closest friends, but in the end, things have a way of working out the way it is supposed to. “I told her she was my remedy, but now I see that I was hers as well.” Kaylee Ryan has a way of capturing your attention with her unique characters and telling their stories that will leave you wanting and needing more.

    I really enjoyed reading this.

Remedy was my first book by author Kaylee Ryan and while I liked it a lot, I didn’t love it quite so much as others have. To be honest, although the story itself was above reproach, I did find parts of it repetitive. I was well past the 50% mark before I felt like we were getting somewhere with the relationship between these two. This a story of second chance and forgiveness, lost loves and the desire to make things right. Grady and Collins grew up next door to each other. Grady is Collin’s older brother’s best friend and she crushed on him all her teen years. Grady being four years older knew how she felt, but never reciprocate those feelings until after Collins first year away at college. So, when he finally sees her as a woman rather than a cute friend, he’s overwhelmed and even more so when they hookup. But then he makes THE mistake. Three years pass before he comes home determined to fix everything he did wrong. He’s never stopped thinking about Collins or the life he wants to share with her. Collins was devastated when Grady just up and left and now that he’s back home, he thinks he can just pick up where they left off??? Grady’s got a fight on his hands to prove his worth to Collins and lets not forget about Caleb, Collins’s older brother. Will he go HULK on his best friend for breaking the ‘bro code’? Grab your copy and find out.

So much to love about this story!

Remedy is a second chance romance, unlike any other I've read. I mean, I really didn't want to like Grady. The choices he made not only made him miserable, but also Collins. Their story could have very easily been one of sorrow, with no HEA, all because he made a bad decision, one he regretted immediately. But as the story continued, I began to see where he was coming from, and why he made those decisions. And, grudgingly, I began to see Grady less as a villainous ex, and more as the determined male he really is. Collins, at first impression, is a good girl. The girl next door, who has a crush on her older brother's best friend. But as you get further into the story, you see that she is really a deeper character than that. She has been crushed by a man, and didn't really have any answers as to why. And when he shows back up in their hometown, she tries to stay away from him, to avoid further heartache, even though she still has the same strong feelings for him. She is also a very strong woman. She took a childhood tragedy that made an impression on her, and turned it into a career that will help others. Grady isn't what he appears to be at first glance. He is determined, and patient. He knows what he wants, knows what he did wrong, and isn't opposed to begging for forgiveness. There's so much more to him than I first thought! This story has so many elements to love! I love second chance romances. I love brothers best friend romances. I love insta love. This book was everything all rolled in to one! In the end, I couldn't help but love Grady. I didn't think I would, but I did! His persistence and patience won me over. This book is a definite must read, and one that will be going on my re-read list!
