Resisting the Cougar By Jessie Donovan

Omg Claire Davis is lost , she was driving to DarkStarkler's land in the Cascade Mountains. It's winter and so cold. What does he see a tall, well proportioned naked man. Aidan Scott was mad why did he have escort a human to his leader? Clarie had to get the shifters on her side, they had to help her pass a law for humans to marry shifters. Aidan and Clarie have a lot of work to do on top there attraction to each other. This book has everything in it to keep you reading and not want to put it down. I received this ARC gift for an honest and truthful review

    Highly entertaining

Claire Davis, Head of Shifter Equality Alliance has been invited to visit the DarkStalker’s land. Aidan Scott, human hater, was assigned to pick her up from a certain location and bring her the rest of the way blindfolded. But Aidan isn't as immune to Claire as much as he would like. Somehow a discriminating photo of her And Aiden gets leaked by the wrong people and now a cover story has to be made. But is it real a cover or the truth. Loved this story that is a self-contained story with a nice HEA. Well written and very enjoyable as well as entertaining to read.

Complete story well deserving 5 stars.

Cranky, stubborn, cougar shifter, Aidan, can't resist equally stubborn and strong activist, Claire. Even if she is fighting for human/shifter marriage rights, falling for a shifter wasn't in the plans for either of them. I fell for both of them and Chloe, Aidan's young daughter stole the show. They have their work cut out for them with this adorable little trouble maker. There is strong steamy chemistry right away--kind of hard to ignore the way Aidan introduces himself. (you'll have to read it , I don't want to spoil it for you)How can she allow any attraction without endangering the cause? You will not be able to put this down until you find out if they can and if so how can they work it out without endangering her life's work and the law that could change the world for all shifters and humans. Danger, emotions, loving couples, testing boundaries and some real steam as well as captivating characters give this book all five stars well earned. Ms Donovan tempts us with the next one, introducing two more characters that will take us on another bumpy ride. I was provided and ARC for an honest review.

    Love it!

Love it! Aidan is my favorite cougar shifter by far and I thought that his daughter Chloe was adorably funny. I really liked how the female lead, Claire, was a dominate female and didn't let Aidan get all macho on her and let it fly. These Cascade shifter books keep getting better as the series continues and I can't wait for Dani and Nate's book which is the next one in the set!

    Great Read!

This is the first series I have read by Jessie aside from here dragon shifter series and I have to say it did not disappoint. The storyline was well thought out and fun although I would have like a little more drama and a little less happy ending. But that did not take away from my enjoyment of the book. Jessie’s characters, much like the ones in her other books, were great as well. Claire, the main female protagonist is funny, smart and sassy. All of the characteristics I enjoy when it comes to female leads. Claire is a worker for the SEA and her main goal is to work together with the Shifters to give them better rights. She is very brave to undertake this mission because not everyone will look at what she is doing in a positive way and there are many people who are against it. Aidan on the other hand has a really rough exterior but that is just because he has a hard time opening up to Claire. In the beginning, he is just assigned to Claire as her ‘protector’ but he quickly realizes that he has feelings for her; however, he is reluctant to act on them at first. It was really nice watching his character become more trusting of Claire as the story went on. And it was nice watching him open up to her more. I have to admit, though, I was a little worried when I read that Aidan was forty, I’m pretty sure that he is the oldest male protagonist I have ever read about. I was worried because I thought with the age gap I would not enjoy him as much as I would with a younger male lead but that was not the case. I still found him to be sexy throughout the book and the age difference was pushed to the back of my mind. I am mentioning this now because I feel like this book could appeal to all ages (unless you are under 18… Then maybe not..) not just to people who are of similar ages to the characters. And that is why I love Jessie’s writing, it is able to transcend generations. Finally, there is little Chloe, who in my opinion stole the whole show. She was so sweet and loving and just cute overall. Overall this was a really good book and I can’t wait for the next one!
