    Enjoyable

A sweet and heartwarming short story about family and forgiveness. Traveling home for Christmas retired courtesan Henrietta Whitlow encounters newly minted Baron Michael Brenner. Attempting to settle a debt of honor, Michael sets out to seduce Henrietta and retrieve a scandalous book of poetry and sketches in her possession. Wonderful characters, lively dialog, a dash of intrigue and of course just the right about of spice.

    Love and respect

What does a former courtesan want for Christmas? Is it money or jewels or a new coach? No, it is not something you can buy. Henrietta was a young girl pushed into a role that she was not prepared for. Now she is one of the most successful courtesans in London. She is on her way to her father's estate where she knows she will not be welcomed. After her coach has problems, she stops at an inn until it is repaired, She is refused a room by the innkeeper because of who she is. Lord Michael Brenner, a newly titled Baron already has a room and offers it to Henrietta. He knows who she is as he plans to take something of hers to settle an honor debt he owes. After a night in her bed and him being caught stealing, whatever relationship that might have been is over. Will he be able to repair the damage and does he want to? Will Henrietta's father accept her for who she is? Will she finally get what she wants most? I really liked this story and how it was told. There are no graphic sex scenes for those it might offend. I loved that it is a story of Christmas spirit. I received this book from Net Galley and Forever( Grand Central Publishing) for a honest review and no compensation otherwise. The opinions expressed are my own.

    Delightful Christmas Story

I received an ARC of this Novella through NetGalley the read in exchange for a fair review. Respect For Christmas by Grace Burrowes was previously published in The Virtues Of Christmas. This is a lovely tale with which to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea, carols on in the background and while away an afternoon over the holiday season. Henrietta Whitlow has retired from being a courtesan and is heading to her childhood home in hopes of repairing the relationship with her father. She meets Michael Brenner who recently became a baron and who also feels estranged from his family when her carriage breaks down. Drawn to each other these two could find their HEA if not for the secrets Michael keeps. Mild Steam. Publishing Date November 20, 2018 #NetGalley #RespectForChristmas
