  • Off-the-charts EXPLOSIVE!!!

Funny, sexy and emotionally charged! This story has an amazingly sexy rock star as well as many, many other drool worthy secondary male characters. The many female counterparts to those secondary male characters are pretty awesome too. The clever, sexy banter between Asher and Gloria is so much fun! They complement each other perfectly. So many things are happening to both of them and through it all he's trying to keep her from running. He's definitely got his work cut out for him. This story is real. The drama is emotional and the sex is off-the-charts EXPLOSIVE! Jessica Lemmon knows how to write her rock stars! I have definitely found another one-click author. Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

  • The Rock-God Returns

Disclaimer: ARC was received in exchange for an honest review. Okay, so this... THIS was the book I was waiting for since Asher freaking Knight swaggered his sexy, rock-god self into Evergreen Cove (and my heart) in Bringing Home the Bad Boy. He was the guy I needed, wanted to have, and didn't even know it. I found author Jessica Lemmon's Bringing Home the Bad Boy in what I acknowledge as a great stroke of luck. When I read that first installment in her "Second Chance Series," I swooned HARD. And, I'm still swooning. Lemmon is wickedly talented, with more than a knack for crafting characters and stories that crackle, igniting the page, setting ablaze the hearts of first-time readers and fans alike. She has a gift for creating round, fully-formed, fully-actualized characters that are so damn lovable and accessible they take on a life of their own. In the case of Asher and Gloria, Lemmon deftly crafted their relationship, seamlessly incorporating it into each of the previous books in the series--creating the ultimate slow burn. So much so that the wait for Ash and Glo to get their very own happy ending was downright TORTUROUS. But the ride, oh the ride was so worth it. Watching Ash, the sinfully sexy and sweet rock-god tangle with the damaged, yet brilliantly bold bad-ass Gloria is breathtaking. These two trainwrecks are made for each other, even though neither one can get out of their own way initially. But when Asher declares he's coming for her, Lord help her; boyfriend's eye is on the prize and he's not messing around. Gloria may be a tour de force, but she's no match for Asher Knight's delightful charm. Ash is bringing his A-game, his mom, and his little dog (TANK!), too. And Glo, she's gonna get everything--EVERYTHING--she was too afraid to ever want. This story is the perfect bookend to Evan and Charlie and Bringing Home the Bad Boy. Even though I wanted Asher's installment immediately upon completing that first book, I'm so glad he was last. The parallels between Return of the Bad Boy and Bringing Home the Bad Boy run deep, and the threads that link the two enhance the sense of nostalgia in a way fans of the series will certainly appreciate. Yet this book feels fresh, never feeling like a retread or like the story is being stretched. Return of the Bad Boy allows fans to return to the Cove one last time and check in on all their favorite characters. None of this is to say that Asher and Gloria's installment can't stand alone, simply that long-time readers are invited to reminisce with the gang, much like the characters wistfully reflect on their youthful indiscretions during Evergreen Cove summers long ago (oh, those Penis Bandits!). This book, this man, this couple bring ALL the feels, often rendering me speechless (which is no easy feat). Cold showers will be needed because Lemmon knows how to scintillate and thrill. She hits all the right notes, and Return of the Bad Boy is the ultimate love song; it just sings. Ultimately, Return of the Bad Boy is a wildly engaging romantic whirlwind, and readers will be hard-pressed not to fall head-over-heels for Asher, Gloria, and the amazingly gifted, irresistible Jessica Lemmon!

  • Our favorite bad boy is coming home!

Evergreen Cove's resident bad boy is coming home and you don't want to miss his sizzling hot return! Asher Knight is lead vocalist of Knight Times. He has the life he has always dreamed of living off the road, playing music and enjoying a variety of women. When one of his past conquests calls him up and tells him he has a 3 year old son Asher's life takes a sudden u turn back to his home town. Gloria "Glo" Shields has recently moved from Chicago to the little town of Evergreen Cove. She is starting to make a new life for herself which includes new and old friends. Glo works for herself and is an agent to some big names, like Asher Knight. Glo and Asher used to be an item once upon a time but all Glo has left from the relationship is heartache. When Asher moves back to town on a semi-permanent basis to spend time with his son Glo suddenly finds herself being brought into the mix as well. I loved this book. I have been waiting for it since the author first teased about these two in Rescuing the Bad Boy. If you haven't read any of the series yet I would highly recommend starting! I received an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

  • Seriously HOT!

Book 4 of the Second Chance series by Jessica Lemmon is HOT! A group of friends that grew up spending summers at the lake together continue to share the ups and downs of life with each other. They are sexy bad boys, but one by one, love is reforming them! Asher Knight is a die hard rock star, but he's taming his ways since he found out he's a dad to a 3 year old son from a past fling. He buys a house in Evergreen Cove and settles in to get to know his boy. He's determined to win back Gloria Shields while he's at it! Glo isn't thrilled that Asher is in town. She's been guarding herself against him for years, but to see this new side to him just might be what it takes to send those walls crumbling!

  • A must read final conclusion!

Gloria and Asher’s story in “Return of the Bad Boy” was amazing, and I was so thrilled to have finally read it! Ever since I read “Bringing Home the Bad Boy,” the first book in the Second Chance series, I have been dying to read Gloria and Asher’s story, and Jessica Lemmon did not disappoint. She did a phenomenal job with the story and I loved her writing style. All of the characters and storylines she created throughout this entire series were fantastic and she always had me addicted to each and every book and couple, and Gloria and Asher were no exception. Their chemistry with each other was off-the-charts, and I loved their personalities and the relationship they had together. Gloria and Asher definitely had rough patches along the way, but I thought they were a wonderful couple and balanced each other well. I hate when there’s a huge conflict three-quarters of the way through a book, and I was super thankful not to see it in this one. It was more like a host of mini conflicts, but not overly dramatic or long-lasting ones, thank God. The story was perfect how the author wrote it, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Asher’s son, Hawk, was adorable and I loved the relationship Asher and Gloria had started to build with him. Asher’s mother and father were a riot and great additions to the Evergreen Cove family as well. I also absolutely loved seeing more of Evan, Charlie, and Lyon; Donovan, Sofie, and Gertie; Connor and Faith; and a host of other characters from previous books in the series. “Return of the Bad Boy” was a truly perfect conclusion to such an amazing and addicting contemporary romance series. I was honestly hooked from the first book to very last, and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the ending for every couple, especially the epilogue for Gloria and Asher’s story. I am really sad the Second Chance series is finished, but I am so happy to have discovered it in the first place. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys bad boys with caveman, swoon-worthy tendencies and tons of romance!
