  • Everything about this book is wonderful

Virgin River is a small town that everyone knows everyone, and everyone helps everyone. Kaylee’s world crashes around her after the death of her mother and looking to escape she heads to Virgin River. Of course, things do not go as she planned but with those changes, she meets people that help her learn to live again. My favorite character is Jack. He owns a bar and knows everyone and their business. In true bartender fashion, he knows what to say when advice is needed, when to listen, and when to send out a call for help. I love that even his wife knows that he can’t keep a secret and she loves him for it. Jack helps Kaylee find a place to stay, find friends who rally around her when she needs them, and everything else she could need including Landry. Landry truly is the one to open Kaylee’s heart again and show her how amazing the world still is, even without her mom. Everything about this book is wonderful. I loved catching up with the characters from Robyn Carr’s past books in the Virgin River series. Seeing where Jack and Mel are, checking in on Paige and Preacher, and do not forget Paul and Vanessa. They all make appearances, but the story is still a standalone featuring Landry and Kaylee.

  • Return to virgin river

Having lost my own mother just before christmas in 2018 i found myself crying through mostof this well written book. So many memories of her became entwined with meredith. I found myself laughing out loud rejoicing in Kaylee's success in each new endeavor. Thank you very much Ms.Carr for such a wonderful story. I think i can be braver going forward having read this.
