  • Loved this book

This book made me laugh, cry and scream!! I didn’t think MC Solaris could do any better than Calypso’s Heart. But she batted this book out of the park!!! This book is amazing! I’m just trying to put into words my love for this book, but I’ll have a go.... Book 2, and I won’t lie, I’ve been anxiously waiting for this book. Yes it’s really long, but in my opinion the story is so worth it. Rhyker is a panther shifter, he comes from a well heeled family, he doesn’t need the money, or to get his hands dirty, but that’s not how he nor his twin brother sees the Order. It’s an honour to serve their world as hunters and there is nothing they wouldn’t do for their pack. Rhyker has to a favourite of mine in this pack (but my heart will always belong to Blake) the joker, the player, the first to back his pack mates in a fight, or a prank, loyal to a fault. The first book in this series had us meeting and falling in lust with him and who could blame you. But this is his book and it will have you falling for this big kitty, a heart as big as the world, a wit that is rivalled only by his brother. And a sense of justice in an often cruel world. Keena is a therapist, she heals the mind and spirit using therapy and yoga. She has a job which she loves, she helps others to heal from past traumas. I love how Keena works through her own issues using dance and yoga. She’s had her share of ups and downs, but meeting the Order brought a new friend (Caly) and a certain tall, dark and delicious feline into her world. The chemistry between Keena and Rhyker is just off the wall, they start off as friends, but Rhyker wanted more, and so stalked his prey with laughs and banter. He moved them from the friend zone with minimum effort. But he never pushed, he knew she had a few problems with an ex, so was willing to wait, he knew deep down, Keena was going to be special. So please pick up the book and give it a read. You really won’t be sorry

  • Even better then the first

I just finished „Rhyker´s Key“ - wow, it was just great! I liked the first book in this series a lot, but this book was even better! The way all the member of „Orions Order“ interact with each other made me smile a lot and the unique storytelling of MC Solaris makes it difficult to put the book down. But it is awful to keep the reader in the dark about what happend to Nico!!

  • Best storyline, characters and fantasy world

I just love this book!! Rhyker and Keena are made for each other. Fated mates. Keena is scorched due to her previous relationship, but Rhyker is a patient male who knows what, or rather who he wants. And when it isn't her ex causing trouble, it's one of his... Or some other complication that decides to pop up. Here we see M.C. Solaris at her best, showing her artistry in creating a world I would gladly live in, and characters I wouldn't mind being BFF with. It's the second book and I can't still name a favorite character, because I like all of them for different reasons. The new Caly/Rhy "war" is hilarious!! But don't even get me started with the Deacon/Starr situation! The different POVs offer a fresh perspective on the minds of everyone involved, including bad guys. There is growth in the characters that have evolved since book 1 and I can't wait to see what this crew still has to give, because this series just keeps getting better and better. I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion

  • Hot, Hot, Hot

OMG – I just love this series! This is the 2nd book and it is just as good as the 1st one! I went through so many different emotions as I was reading this book, and I am sure my family thought I was crazy!! Rhyker is a jaguar shifter who comes from an affluent family. He is your typical bad boy – tats for days and some amazing, piercing blue eyes. He is a member of the Order along with his twin, Rhyland, the alpha Wolf Blake, Nico the vampire and Deacon the computer geek. Keena is a mind and spirit healer. She comes from a middle class family and is sweet, caring and always wanting to take care of others. Rhyker and Keena have had chemistry between them since the 1st book. However, they just want to have fun in the moment and haven’t committed to anything other than the “friend zone” When people from their pasts show up and secrets come out, will Rhyker and Keena be able to get past the friend zone? The “Order” is a tight knit group who also include Caly (Blake’s mate), Aleia (a healer) and Riordan (an ancient seer). The banter, camaraderie, and passion these people show for each other just shows that people of different species can get along and coexist together. You know that regardless of the situation, they will have each other’s back and will do anything for them. I love how M.C. Solaris is able to write this story not only about Rhyker and Keena, but she also includes a few other storylines in between to give you some insight to what is yet to come with these characters. The story still flows very well even though you are reading about 10 different people. She writes from multiple points of view which helps to keep stories straight. This story has drama, passion, chemistry, tragedy, mystery, suspense, twists and turns, romance, and so many emotions (rollercoaster ride!). I cannot wait for the next book to come out about Starr and Deacon. I am anxious to read more about their relationship and hopefully delve more into Nico and Aleia and see what’s in store for Rhyland. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy through ARCs for an honest review.

  • Steamy Romance meets intriguing plot

    * I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review *This Book is the second in a series and while it could easily be read on its own the reading experience is much better if read after the first book. *This is an adult romance and not recommended for underage readers *Trigger warnings for abuse, sex, and general violence What I Like 1. Our main lady in this installment is a mind healer. -Having previously attended college seeking a psychology the idea of a magical therapist is just very appealing to me. 2. consent matters - This is shown not only in sexy times situations but also in the use of magical abilities. This is particularly apparent early on when our main lady reflects on the difference between using her abilities as she teaches a yoga class or using them randomly when she thinks they could be useful. - specifically she is clear that consent is more important than intent. 3. The main couple of this book has their story arc well resolved while allowing plenty of room to continue exploring the world and this fascinating friend group. 4. Diving back into the species world we are following characters that have already been a part of this magical world for their whole lives. -I like how this lets the characters to do and understand more quickly into events What I didn't like as much. 1. Okay so our main couple constantly refers to each other in their inner dialogue by the phrases "that female" and "this male". The frequency of this in the first 25% of the book was somewhat jarring. Using those phrases makes since for the way books in this genre are written and does feel in keeping with the character's typical speech patterns but I would have personally preferred some variance such as thinking of each other more by their names, jobs, or similar. Random thoughts and who would I recommend this book for I continue to think this series would be a good fit for fans of the Anita Blake vampire hunter series. Rhyker's Key is a steamy romance seamlessly blending intriguing plot and spicy connections. I am looking forward to future books in the series.
