  • Roadside Crosses

I read both books featuring Kathryn Dance; and since she is also featured in some of the Lincoln Rhyme books, I enjoyed reading about her specialty and Deaver's explanation as to how she picked up on the subtle almost invisible twitches and tics that indicate our bodies are labouring under stress and, therefore, likely lying or evading the truth. I am reminded of a BBC, I think, series "Lie to Me", a wonderful series starring Tim Roth. (superb actor) who looked for quick-second tells to reveal the truth rather than the spoken word. Dance is an interesting heroine and I thoroughly enjoyed her ability to get the truth out there despite clear reluctance to co-operate. As usual, lots of Deaver twists and turns to confuse and drive you batty.

    Thanks for your feedback!
