  • Good read

What an interesting read. It was far different from what I was expecting after reading the blurb. While Holly and Ray do win the lotto...and win big! The story is so much more. Holly has been living her life taking whatever crumbs the universe wants to give her. The only important thing she has in her life is her young son and she will do whatever it takes to keep him safe and happy. After living with the verbal abuse her now ex husband hands out, her self esteem is at an all time low. The freshness and light Ray brings to her life seems to good to be true. Can she believe in what he's offering and let him bring her out of the darkness? I really enjoyed this one and would definitely recommend it.

  • Feel good read

I received a copy of the ePub from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Rolling in the Deep by Rebecca Rogers Maher is a feel good contemporary romance. It is truly a story that will instantly capture the reader’s heart. Holly Ward is a divorced mom that is struggling to stay afloat. She is devoted to her son Drew. Working at a big box store in her small town she purchases a lottery ticket with a co-worker. She and Ray become lottery winners—multimillionaires. This quick paced novella explores their lives before, during and after the unexpected win. The chemistry between Holly and Ray feels natural. The story is told via Holly and Ray’s point of view—this gives great insight into each characters personalities revealing their fears, feelings and desires. What would happen if…? Rebecca Rogers Maher cleverly shows the reader what happens when the unexpected occurs. Rolling in the Deep is a refreshing well-written novella. It will not disappoint.
