A memoir recounted with much humour and poignancy

Far be it from me to call Ian Simpson "brave". Reading Rolling with the punches has taught me that it's a no-no, along with a few other things "ABs" like myself are wont to do. Ian's story, however, is inspirational (sorry Ian) and brings to mind one of my favourite quotes "Be kind: Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." Who ever really knows the daily struggles that go on in anyone's life? Beginning with the accident that changed his life at the age of three, Ian's tale continues with memories of childhood, his sporting achievements, a rewarding career, finding true love and also his battles with cancer. Rolling with the punches is a memoir recounted with much humour and poignancy. Never losing a game of musical chairs is only one example of how Ian's positive spin on a story provides an engaging insight into his world.
