    A Huge Fan

I have just read Romancing the Klondike and Joan Donaldson-Yarmey has a huge fan now. Is there a sequel to find out what happened to Pearl? I absolutely loved the book and the way it was written. She is such a good author. I could not put the book down even missing one of our all time NCIS shows and that is something. I made sour dough starter this morning and will enjoy the sour dough bread a lot. I do want to know what she has in store for Pearl.

    GOLDEN ROMANCE

The third book in the Canadian Historical Brides series has readers following the adventures of a young writer as she follows the adventures of several characters determined to strike it rich in the gold fields of the Klondike – with some destined to find romance as well. The story takes place in the closing years of the nineteenth century and offers credible insight into the lives of those who braved the harsh weather conditions and inhospitable terrain of the Yukon in order to fulfill their dreams.

You won't put this romance down !

When I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. I loved the romance in it and the story line especially. I'm hoping there will be a second to find out more about what happens to her.

    Entertaining and educational!

This is the story of cousins Emma and Pearl, who travel to the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush for adventure and to prove women could be just as tough as men. There is a bit of romance in the story – one of the girls finds love, one does not. Ms. Donaldson-Yarmey has done a tremendous amount of research and she skillfully weaves in historical facts about that era without dragging down the pacing. This book shows the hardships and challenges faced by the men and women who settled the north. I highly recommend it for fans of Canadian historical fiction.
