  • My favorite book from this author to date

Sweet mother of all that is holy, Penelope Ward just tried to kill me. Her weapons of mass destruction were overwhelming amounts of sexual frustration and emotional turmoil. Every muscle and cell in my body was coiled up tight and ready to explode on moment's notice. If you are looking for a book that is going anywhere but the road well traveled, look no further! Let's use a metaphor. This book is a vehicle and the author is the driver. You're in the passenger seat, unsure of the destination and little nervous about she's taking you. Suddenly there is fork in the road. While your eyes are darting back and forth trying to anticipate where she's going to take you, without notice she's taking a sharp right, but she's not on the road anymore. Nope. We are off-roading it now! Up and down steep hills, frantically bouncing around on the uneven terrain, dodging obstacles, while you're holding onto the "holy crap" handle for dear life. I imagine she might be laughing loudly and a little maniacally as you hold on tight. Once I started this book, I didn't want to put it down. I started at 10:30pm, stayed up until 2:30 am devouring it, and then woke up bright and early to finish it off. 5 Stars just isn't enough!

  • Penelope Ward does it again!!!!!! What can I say, Penelope Ward has done it again. How she keeps coming up with these guys that just melt your heart and your panties, I'll never know. I adored everything about this book, the characters, the storyline, and the banter. Seriously, this book has it all. A sexy musician, a second chance at love, funny banter between the main characters, and just a beautiful story. Justin was a jerk at first, but I still couldn't keep myself from falling in love with him because it was so obvious that he'd been deeply hurt by Amelia in the past. Thankfully, he got over it! I won't go into any further detail because I don't want to ruin the experience for you as you begin this amazing story. I'm sad that it's over for me, but now I have to look forward to Penelope's next book. I can't wait!!! She hasn't let me down yet. READ ROOMHATE NOW!!!!

  • Loved

I Loved this so much! It was very different than I thought it would go! I had a short story in my head but you made it so much better than I was expecting. While I started to read I couldn't stop and well I just fell in love with them! Some parts I didn't see coming but they made the book even better! There is no cheating between the characters in this book, that was very important for me because I don't like to read about cheating or happening to anyone. There is no triangle so that worked out well. However some things bothered me. But beside that everything was so well writtin, that it hooked me immediatley!

  • Didn't like male character

I liked other books Ive read by this author but this one I found a bit troubling. Pretty good writing, hot sexy scenes, but I really didn't like the male character. Justin is passive aggressive, insulting and controlling, and likes to hit a punching bag when he is mad. I know a bit of alpha can be kinda hot, but Justin verges on scary. He gets better towards the end, but I still wasn't convinced this was really a happy ending.
