One of the best of its kind!

I really enjoy Regency romances and this is one of the best of its kind. Such a well written story with never any dull moment. Totally worth the sleepless night that I spent reading it! Can't wait to read more of Emily Larkin books. I received a free copy of this book and voluntary chose to review it.

A romantic tale that's hard to put down

The first time I picked up one of Emily Larkin’s books and read the blurb about faery godmothers, I thought that sounded a bit silly and almost didn’t bother to read it, but I read it anyway… and then I bought everything else she had written. This series of books would suit fans of historical romance generally; the supernatural elements are only a small part of the tales, fun, but they don’t detract from the books generally. The central characters in in her stories are all very intelligent, likeable and well developed, and the plots keep readers guessing, both around the romance between the central characters and other narratives running through the books. Ruining Miss Wrotham is no exception, I particularly liked the central characters Mordecai Black, who is open minded, kind despite his large and imposing appearance, and Miss Wrotham who makes a determined and resourceful heroine. The story is not just about the romance between the characters, but follows the search for Miss Wrotham’s missing sister. I was given an advance reader’s copy of this book, which I am very happy to review, thoroughly enjoyed, and couldn’t put down once I had started.

    Interesting but light reading.

A quirky series with a magical twist. I read through the whole series one after the other. Books I would be happy to read again.

    Wonderful

Great fun with very human characters which is what makes this series so wonderful...the overlaying of story lines gives a depth and detail that just draws you in so completely....and stays with you. I've already reread Unmasking Miss Appleby which started my addiction....and I will be happily re-reading to he rest again...

    Ruining Miss Wrotham

A reminder of how far we have come from being the property of male relatives. Nell is determined not to be dominated by a husband and discovers compromise is possible. Her gift is a saviour but also may loss her her lover. A good read.
